Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice, except.. The slider works great and was fairly easy to install. My only issue with it is that being 13ft long, the center of the roll tends to bow inward under the tension of the recoil spring, which creates a small dip in the slid. That's all good during dry conditions, but when it rains that areas fills with water and creates an ever-increasing pool. The only "safe" way to get the water out is to pull the slid back. I don't know what the fix for this would be, but I sure wish there was some way to avoid it, because I think over time it will stretch the fabric and only get worse. This probably isn't an issue on shorter slide covers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly simple to install with proper planning I decided to tackle the installation myself with the help of my wife. I reviewed some YouTube installation videos which were very helpful. The packaged instructions had more specific detail for my topper which were easy to understand. I made sure to measure twice so that the topper canopy bar and the topper itself were equally proportioned on each side of the slide. I used blue painter’s tape to record my measured marks which made placement of the hardware very easy All of the materials were first rate, the only glitch was someone in the factory didn’t know how to count as I was missing one self tapping screw for the canopy bar. I picked up a package of screws at hardware store. The actual installation took about an hour.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frustrated Our canopy came in a box withno secure ends. Parts broken (we fixed it), parts missing (they have been shipped after 2 weeks of waiting), parts sent to billing address instead of mailing address. Getting this slideout canopy has been a nightmare. Only when Camping World had Lippert Components send us the canopy was it sent more securely. Still not all the parts were in that box. Once we got the instructions and complete parts list, we bought our own parts to install the canopy. I logged at least 20 emails and calls to Camping World about this issue. The canopy is installed and looks beautiful! We are on a camping trip and UPS has notified me that there are two shipments on my porch at the shipping address and one on the porch of my billing address from Camping World/Lippert. Ridiculous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solera slideout awning The product itself is great! However, I suggest that anyone installing themselves - which is very easy - do the following: 1. Verify all the parts are there, especially the screws. I was shy 4 screws for mounting the awning holder on the side of the RV and one set screw. Getting LCI, the manufacturer was TERRIBLE. Although I bought from Camping World, it was shipped direct from LCI. The customer service at LCI was anything but good. They finally did send me the missing items but I felt they did so very reluctantly, after saying I should get from Camping World. 2. Watch some installation videos on YouTube. The ones posted by eTrailer are especially good and give extra hints to make an easy job even easier and less stressful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy customer Fairly easy to install but it’s a 2 persons job. The brackets and hardware are of very good quality and should last a long time. The spring loaded awning works very well. All and all I’m happy with my purchase with no disappointment in quality, packaging or operation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frustrated customer After reading reviews of awnings, i felt very good about choosing the Lippert sliders for our camper. We have always had good luck with camping world so we chose them to be the supplier. I ordered 3 awnings and I have been waiting over a month and still have not received my complete order. The awnings are packaged in a thin cardboard sleeve and were torn and ends open when they delivered. Two were delivered and awning material was torn and part of hardware missing. The third one delivered with part of hardware missing. I am not sure if the problem is with packaging or the freight line that made the delivery. I am in the process of talking with a local camping world facility 2 hrs away to try and get the awnings delivered to them. I cant give a rating on awning since we have been unable to install them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Purchased but no known delivery date, frustrating. I ordered this product over a month ago and still haven’t received it. Camping World took my payment, but failed to notify me the Lippert Company closed its manufacturing plants indefinitely due to the CoVID-19 issue. When I called last week, the customer service rep told me they knew about the unavailability, and apologized for the delay. I’m paying credit card interest on a large purchase as I bought 3 of these slide awnings. Thinking it’s disingenuous for Camping World to take my payment and not let me know about the indefinite delivery time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and easy So far, so good! The install could not have gone better. The instructions were fairly clear and all the parts were included to do the job. All I needed was a cordless drill, a few drill bits, a couple of screw drivers, a countersink bit, some butyl tape for sealing, a couple of allen wrenches and some spray silicone for making the beaded edge of the topper slide easily into the track. Here's an old boat builders tip: countersink the holes you drill into the fiberglass before driving in the screws! This keeps the gel-coat from cracking. A second set of hands is really nice to have when doing the final slide in and install, the topper can be quite heavy/bulky. I will not have a chance to see how the topper performs in bad weather yet, the rig is still in storage , however, the construction and design seems very good.

Will this help with keeping the inside of the camper cool?

Asked by: Jdunn
Yes it helps with cooling but also keeps the top of slide out clean. Only problem we have is rain water collecting, doesn't drain off on it own.

The specs say power/automatic. Is this a spring return or windup return when the slide out retracts?

Asked by: todd
It is a spring return. Used it for camping season last year, works great.

I have a 2019 Kodiak 283bhsl.   It has a 13 foot rain gutter over the slide with a channel as part of the gutter.   Can I use this channel with this topper?   Slide measures 152”

Asked by: RobP
Without seeing the gutter/channel it is hard to give a definite answer. I would measure the channel that came with the slide topper to see how they compare. Is the channel facing out or up? How many attachment screws are there on the existing channel. It has been a while since I installed mine but I seem to remember the instructions saying if you rig comes with a factory installed channel use it instead of installing the one supplied with the unit. Hope that helps.

I have a 2020 Jayco Eagle with two slides; measured from Flange to Flange Slide 1 is 7' 2" (86") and Slide 2 is 12' 1" (145). What lengths would I order?

My total slide width is 82". If I add 5" making the total 87"=7'3" So do I need a 7'6" cover? If so that will only overlap each end 1.5", that's not much to keep the rain out? Is there a way to use a wider cover to get more rain cover?

Asked by: jrh65
Buy wide, give yourself some room to play with. I found installation difficult.

My slide out measures 12'-10" including the flange at both sides, the box measures 12'-4". Regarding the Lippert Solera Slider shall I order a 13' or 13'-6"?

Asked by: JRigby
so when I ordered mine, I went past so the covering covered the whole box, you would be okay going with the 13' so it will be almost an exact fit.

Asked by: BevPete
First add 6” to each. Now it’s 86” and 113”. Order 90” and 114”
