Not the same quality as before...Do Not Buy
I have purchased the Maxxair II before for my previous trailers and the two new ones I purchased are DEFINITELY not of the same quality. The plastic housing seems thinner and flexes out of shape. The bug screen on both units won’t fasten as the clips don’t all engage...Unfortunately I had a planned trip and didn’t have the time to return them but I am totally dissatisfied with this product now which is inferior to previous years.... Until Airxcel improves the design and quality to what it used to be I would pass and by from the competition such as FanTastic even though they require attaching to the roof rather than the fan housing.

Easy Installation
I had been thinking about getting vent covers for quite some time, but was reluctant to install them myself and I did not want the cost and hassle of taking the camper to a dealer to have them installed. Finally after reading how easy it is to install them, I ordered 2 MaxxAir II vent covers and they really were easy to install. It took about an hour and a half from opening the box to putting everything away after the installation. I
did not put a vent cover on our 3rd vent (bathroom) because that vent has obstacles on the roof that are located too close to the vent. The vent covers do seem to restrict air flow a little, but worth it to be able to leave them open when it may rain.

Order was received in good shape and shipping time was
relatively short. I found the customer satisfaction
guarantee in my package and found that it indeed is not as
they say in the service Bravo Sierra. When surfing I found
the same unit for a lower price including shipping and
Camping world went ahead and honored that price and gave me
the difference in a refund. I will definitely be back for
more products. Installation was a snap , the videos are
invaluable to help the customer installation. Thanks again.

Long Time Coming
These covers are a breeze to install. They sure aid in creating a breeze when mounted on
the Fantastic Fan vents. Compared to the old covers, with the new hinge mounting system
they are a real breeze to keep clean. I now leave my vents open part way when stored so
the air temperature inside can stay with the outside temp, thus avoiding condensation and
water damage.
I was not real crazy over the added cost above the old style covers however, so get your
PC membership and watch for the sales.

Little harder than the video
I intended to put this over the Fantastic fan in my unit. After looking at the installation
decided to put over my other fan which had a different type of frame. After looking at the Fantastic fan web-site, decided to purchase that cover for that fan, since according to their web site, the installation would be a piece of cake. Since your on top of an RV doing this it is a little more difficult than their video. However followed the instructions. Had some problem aligning the brackets and attaching. You have to reach inside of the fan cover to attach the screws and nuts and to tighten them. Little difficult but mission accomplished. Our RV has
a sky lite so could not work on both sides of the fan opening which may have made it a little more difficult. Over all very pleased, cost was good.

Great Air Flow and Easy Access
This vent cover allows great air flow and offers easy access to the roof vents under the
hood with the brackets that are provided for the vent cover. With the removal of two pins
the vent cover will flip over with it's hinged brackets on the other side. This offers easy
access to clean the roof vents out when debris/leaves/twigs/cottonwood/bugs get into
the roof vents. I have 3 of my 4 vent covers over Fantastic Vent Fans and they allow
enough airflow through the vent covers for the fans to work properly. The only negative
thing is, is that they don't allow the vent lid to open 100%, but I don't know if any vent
covers that allow that. They do allow the lid to open enough to allow adequate air flow
through them. I recommend these vent covers to people I know that own RVs and don't
have any vent covers.

HUGE DIFFERENCE
THIS MAX COVER COMBINED WITH THE MAX FAN 4000K MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN OUR TRAVEL TRAILER AIR CIRCULATION , NO MORE STUFFY AIR AND LINGERING COOKING SMELLS , LEAVING THE FAN ON WHEN YOUR OUT IS NOT AN ISSUE ANYMORE , AND RETURNING TO A COOL AIR FRESH TRAILER IS GREAT , MOVES A LOT OF STALE AIR FAST AND THE COVER ALLOWS MORE VOLUME OF AIR MOVEMENT ,
NO WATER INSIDE YOUR TRAILER SAVES HUGE ON REPAIRS , EASY TO CLEAN LIFT HINGE IS A HUGE DELIGHT

Fresh outside air
I installed 2 of the maxxair II vent covers on my '08 Monaco Monarch and so when we downsized to our 18', '08 Cruiser Funfinder X I removed the old maxair vent and installed the updated maxair II. This was an easy update (if I can install one anyone can!) and well worth the money. The maxair II allows for more air flow and I like the ability to just tip them up to clean the screen.

Is this cover designed to fit over the MaxxFan Plus 4500k and still allow full functionality of fan? Does it allow full opening of fan cover? Checked AirExel website and it is not clear. Thanks
Any of the covers will limit the lid opening inside the cover, but the Fan Mate is the cover designed for a motorized fan. The MaxxAir II will restrict air flow by about 20 percent, as there isn’t as much room around the lid inside the cover itself.

will this damage the fan cover and motor being that the MaxxAir limits the fan to open only 75% ?
If the lid does not auto-stop, yes damage can occur with the lift motor. Otherwise, airflow will just be a bit restricted compared to being open completely but no damage to the lid or fan motor.

It does, yes, but be aware that it will limit the distance the vent lid will open. The lid will open approximately 75% as high as normal.
