Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good fan - Good service - Bad switch It really moves air. On a month long trip, the switch stopped working on the 8th day. I called CW and they said they would swap out the whole unit. Not the best option as that is significantly more work and materials than just replacing the faulty switch. I replaced it and off we went for another week long trip. The replacement switch lasted 4 days before it stopped working. I will call again to get another replacement switch but have a third party switch I will use instead. Obviously, there is a problem. The switch is a little circuit panel. Meanwhile, I have a simple on-off switch so we can use the fan. I'd really like to install another of these fans, but with the switch issue... maybe not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from MaxxFan Install This is my second MaxxFan. I installed a 5100 about a year ago in my Phoenix Cruiser 2350. The first experience made the second install go more quickly because I knew what I was getting into. The only issue I ran into was the wiring coming out the RV was a considerably larger gauge than the fan wire, so I could not join them with the supplied butt connectors. I used twist connectors instead, which are not as waterproof, but I sealed the roof well with two layers of butyl tape and self-leveling sealer. This fan only has four speeds and exhaust only, but the highest speed moves plenty of air. The fan blade wobbles a bit, but does not seem to cause any vibration.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beware obvious switch issues Purchased new from Camping World as a replacement for the smaller original factory fan. I installed it according to directions it ran for one day and stopped working bypassed switch and motor was fine, called factory, they sent out a new switch. It worked for another day or so and failed they sent another switch and that failed as well. I ended up selling the camper, new owner said he was going to replace it with a Fantastic Fan. I should of left the original fan alone it had been working for 15 years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a fan Not a fan of MaxxAir fans. I never had an issue with my Fantastic Fans in the old rig. Both of my MaxxAir fans took a dump. One after a few weeks, the second after 8 months. Waiting for a response from MaxxAir to see if they will at least send me new parts. It's the circuit board on the switch that seems to be the issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective Flange The Roof Flange was delivered defective. This has put a halt to my installation. Contacted the seller twice and haven’t heard back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great purchase from Camping World This fan was purchased by me to replace a second one on my 5th wheel when my roof needed to be replaced after a tree fell on it during a hurricane. I purchased it from Camping world because my dealer wasn't able to get it due to parts supply shortage due to covid shutdown of their supplier. The price I paid was great and was bought to replace a previous "junk" fan in the bathroom and it was delivered in two days. It helped speed up the repair of my 5th wheel and the dealer was very appreciative.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality built fan The product just arrived, without box/shipping damage. After getting the fan unpacked, I saw it was in perfect condition all hardware was included. I will expand on all things involved with install at a later date. I will purchase more before someone messes up the craftsmanship or design.

Does this fan have a reverse?

Asked by: Sharkman
No, this model does not have reverse. You have to step up to the MaxxFan Plus line to get a fan vent with reverse capability. See SKU#116726 for the same style of vent(manual open, white lid & 4 speeds) with Intake and Exhaust capability.

Bathroom Replacement?

Can this fan be installed as a replacement for the factory installed bathroom fan, using the existing wiring?
Asked by: frontrunner
If the rough cutout for your current bathroom vent is 14"x14", this vent can be used as a replacement. In general powered vents for RVs run off of 12VDC and previous wiring can be used again.
