Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Fan I've been eyeing these fans for a while now, and finally committed to installing one on our 19 ft. travel trailer this summer. Installation was straightforward, and I am impressed with the amount of air that it moves. I especially appreciate the automatic mode. It is definitely quieter than the tabletop fans that we have been using, and will be definitely welcome when we're camping with no access to A/C power. At first, my wife was not convinced that we needed one, but after showing her how much it helped to cool down our trailer in peak summer heat, she's a believer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice features! The MaxxAir 4000K is manual controls. It has several soft buttons and a lid knob, very convenient to use especially in areas where you're already standing/working. I put one in the ceiling over the range to pull cooking steam/smoke out. I just reach up, twirl the knob to open the lid, hit the on button, and it does the rest. I tried out all ten fan speeds. It is really powerful on high, I expect it will replace all the air in my 36' X 8' X 7' coach very quickly with a window or two open. It really does draw a breeze thru the place!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4000k The 10 speed fan is easy to adjust with control panel Up/Down buttons. Easy to install. I run it bidirectional depending if I want outside air inside. Seems to work quite well and easy to change air direction.

How difficult is this to install if your vent is not already hooked up to electricity?

    Asked by: doreene
Difficulty will depend on how far away the closest 12V power source is. Some vents have a light fixture near that can be easily accessed, or may have the RV's electrical wiring routed nearby for use with a powered vent. 'Worst case' scenario is having to obtain additional wiring to lengthen leads while digging through the insulation to find a power source to tap into.
