MaxxFan Standard 4500K is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performs as I hoped it would. I ordered this fan to replace a non-fan vent in my RV bedroom. When it arrived I assembled the needed supplies and got up on the roof. Installation was fairly easy, just make sure you clean any old sealant off the roof. Once installed and wired, it performs wonderfully. Today the rain came and the sensor performed as advertised. I recommend this fan to anyone as a way to keep your RV cool before resorting to running the A/C. The reversible fan and ceiling fan feature is an added bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT This is a great product. Great DIY PROJECT, set about 4 hours a side though, you have to clean the roof or rubber membrane (if you have one.) Once the cleaning was done, the unit fit in the factory hole (no resizing was required). It took about twenty minutes to install it. The ceiling fan feature is great. Going to buy another one and replace my other roof vent for cross circulation. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Fan This fan is great we installed it over the bed in our 5th wheel camper. It takes the heat off the camper in the day time and we reverse it at night to blow the cool air in. Very quiet running and easy to install . Has thermostat set the temp and it comes on and goes off by itself . Best fan ever we love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement fan If it weren't for the difficulty removing the weather sealant from the original skylight, the instillation was relatively easy. Since I was replacing the original ceiling fan/sky light power was already available. Perfect remove-then-replace for the full function fan with remote.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from maxxfan 4500k the fan work like charm, just the wall mount holder of the remote control. If the Co. manufacturing the product supplies a Velcro band to hold it in place during the transport ( so you don't have to look for the batteries and covert in your RV or toy trailer floor )

Will this work with an Maxair II vent cover?

Asked by: BEEA
Yes, you can use a MaxxAir II cover over this fan vent. The FanMate will provide the least amount of air restriction between the two covers from MaxxAir.

Can this be installed on the side of a trailer instead of the roof

Asked by: Anonymous
This unit is made for a roof. If you want to install on the side of your trailer, please contact your trailer's manufacturer or a Camping World Service Center - they will be able to determine whether it is safe for your specific model. CLICK HERE for a list of Camping World Service Centers.

I have an electric fan installed in my motorhome but would like replace with this unit will in fit without having to remove the intire existing unit?

Asked by: Fergie
No. This product is a full vent not a replacement insert or upgrade. The current vent would have to be removed for #55477 to be installed. If you would like to upgrade your vent, then you will want to look at the Vortex and Vortex II vent upgrades. These two products are inserts to a pre-existing vent.

Will this fan work in my 2015 Jayco Pinacle?

My camper came with a bathroom roof vent. Our problem is it's not auto open and my wife is to short to reach the knob to open it. Would the electric already in the ceiling work with your auto fan?
Asked by: Anonymous
If the rough opening where your bathroom vent is installed measures 14"x14", yes this fan vent can be installed in place of the current fan vent. Yes, the same electrical wiring used for your current vent would be used for item# 55477.
