IR sensor died quickly
I loved it when I bought it. Relatively easy to install, great features for the price and cooled nicely. Unfortunately, the Infrared remote sensor on the unit died within less than two years, so I lost 80% of the functionality since it now only operates by the keypad on the fan, which doesn’t mirror the remote. Still works, but very hobbled. Highly disappointed.

Performs as I hoped it would.
I ordered this fan to replace a non-fan vent in my RV bedroom. When it arrived I
assembled the needed supplies and got up on the roof. Installation was fairly easy, just
make sure you clean any old sealant off the roof. Once installed and wired, it performs
wonderfully. Today the rain came and the sensor performed as advertised. I
recommend this fan to anyone as a way to keep your RV cool before resorting to running
the A/C. The reversible fan and ceiling fan feature is an added bonus.

Awesome Fan
This fan is great we installed it over the bed in our 5th wheel camper. It takes the heat off the camper in the day time and we reverse it at night to blow the cool air in. Very quiet running and easy to install . Has thermostat set the temp and it comes on and goes off by itself . Best fan ever we love it.

Replace that old 'fidget spinner' fan with this!
These are awesome fan units. They do a great job of removing/providing air. Installation was a breeze. Fit perfectly in my existing fan unit. Wireless remote is essential for control. It was really nice not needing to worry about running a control wire.

One of the best purchase experiences I've had ever
This fan was purchased by me to replace the one on my 5th wheel when my roof needed to be replaced after a tree fell on it during a hurricane. I purchased it from Camping world because my dealer wasn't able to get it due to parts supply shortage due to covid shutdown of their supplier. The price I paid was exceptional compared to previous purchase and it was delivered in two days. It helped speed up the repair of my 5th wheel and the dealer was very appreciative.

GREAT
This is a great product. Great DIY PROJECT, set about 4 hours a side though, you have to
clean the roof or rubber membrane (if you have one.) Once the cleaning was done, the unit fit
in the factory hole (no resizing was required). It took about twenty minutes to install it. The
ceiling fan feature is great. Going to buy another one and replace my other roof vent for
cross circulation. Great product.

MaxxFan 4500K
This is a very good quality fan vent. And very easy to install. Definitely worth the price to be able to use the remote control to open the vent and control the fan.

MaxxFan 4500K
We needed a fan that my wife could turn on and off so I purchased the MaxxFan 4500K and could not be happier with it. We like it so much we purchased a second one for the bath. Love the rain sensor. We can lave knowing that at the first sign of rain our fans will close keeping out unit dry. Great product.

We had a MaxAir fan with rain sensor installed a couple of years ago and are very satisfied with it, but for unknown reasons, it started making a bumping sound when it tries to close. Sounds like it isn't locking tight. Any suggestions?
For this, I would recommend reaching out to Maxxair directly. Here is a link to all of their contact information: https://www.airxcel.com/rv/maxxair/contact-us

why doesn't the maxair 4500k work with my wall switch in my 2019 Thor hurricane 35m? It tries to turn on when I press wall switch button, but it doesn't. I would like to know what it takes to make it work with my wall switch.

I have an electric fan installed in my motorhome but would like replace with this unit will in fit without having to remove the intire existing unit?
No. This product is a full vent not a replacement insert or upgrade. The current vent would have to be removed for #55477 to be installed. If you would like to upgrade your vent, then you will want to look at the Vortex and Vortex II vent upgrades. These two products are inserts to a pre-existing vent.
