Plastic Winterizing Hand Pump Kit
Following the directions on the box, I found the hand pump to work perfectly. I have one
recommendation, not listed on the procedures for operating the pump. Like any water
pump, this pump (at least in my case) will not work if not primed. So pour some
antifreeze into the inlet tube after all tubes are connected as directed, and pump the air
out. Then, insert the pump inlet tubing into the antifreeze. Once primed it will work
perfectly. Before I primed the pump, I could not get it to pump antifreeze at all; after
priming the pump worked perfectly with no problems and it took only minutes to
winterize my motorhome following the directions on the box.

It worked perfect!
I have a 4 year old 5th wheel. I have always vinterized it using the electric pump which has a winterizing kit on it where you can set a jug of antifreeze next to the pump. I don't know why, but the pump has always had a very difficult time picking up the fluid and pumping it through the system. It has normally taken around 45 minutes to one hour to do this. During normal use, the pump works very well. Using this hand pump, it took about 10 minutes. It worked great and took very little effort. I had to give the pump about 3 good pulls to prime it. After it was primed, the pumping took very little effort. I just wish I had got one of these sooner.

Successful Winterization
I recently purchased this product and successfully winterized two Park Model RVs in one afternoon. The product worked as advertised. However, after reading another review, I did purchase two hose clamps to afix the tube to the pump and the hose fitting to the tube. My only negative comment concerns the price. After receiving this product I discovered that it can be purchased locally for a price that is higher than Campingworld's price, but less than the total including shipping charges. Overall, this product met my needs this year and should be good for a number of future years.

Pretty good
I bought this and it did the job easily. The pump converter winterizing kit is probably a better solution but because of the way my water pump is mounted it would have taken more plumbing work than I wanted to do to install the pump converter. I would have given the hand pump 5 stars but CW's description is not accurate. The hand pump connects to your city water inlet. It does not include any adapters that enable you to connect the pump to a water faucet. I checked with Camco (the manufacturer) on this and was told the faucet adapters were dropped from the product 8-10 years ago.
Happy winterizing....(as for me, I wish I lived some place where this task isn't
necessary)

Easy winterizing
Pump worked very well and was easy to self prime (took 2-3 pumps and primed) Well worth the $$ as RV storage place wanted $80 to winterize rig. We did it for cost of pump, 1
gal RV antifreeze and 1 hr time.

Plastic Hand Pump
Works great and easy to use. Need two people to use. One pumping and the other
opening and closing fauctes inside RV. Should have bought last year. Also works great to
empty toilet tank water.

Winterizing Hand Pump
Good product, except instructions weren't very clear. For example: it should state to open faucets before pumping so that the hose does not pop off the pump and you get antifreeze all over the place.

Very good but
Worked very well pumping anti freeze into the plumbing. The only thing I would
recommend is putting hose clamps at the two points where the hoses attach to the pump,
as they kept slipping off when I used it.

what is the hose size (diamenter) coming from the pump to the camper
The hoses are 3/8” ID and 2’ long.
