Features
The Vapor is Radar's finest comp ski on the water. The advancement of developing the rockerline in conjunction with the sidecut creates hydrodynamic harmony. The Vapor's sidecut is parallel with .1" added to each side of the ski without making the maximum width any wider. No other ski boasts such a parallel sidecut (to keep the ski riding level). An on-edge platform was designed by straightening the sidecut around the back foot. This gives the ski a consistent attitude after edging. At 12" from the tail, the sidecut narrows and the rocker kicks up, freeing the tail from early turn initiation and tip pressure. The concave is also flat through the back of the fin, allowing for increased slide through the turn. Wider parallel lines in the sidecut give the ski stability in the water. Sidewalls are now thinner than the middle of the ski, crowning the top surface. The result is a wider ski with no additional resistance from the overall thickness of the design. Vapor's rocker has an existing flat spot for a gas pedal that lets you push away from the wakes and keep your ski centered. The rest of the rocker rises earlier with a big kick in the last 9".
Radar Lithium is constructed with 100% carbon laminates and a PVC foam core, making the ski nimble and faster both out of the turn and off the second wake. Lightweight Sigmatex carbon fabric with heavy tow fibers. Dura Base is a specially formulated polymer resin used on the ski's base to relieve surface tension and make the ski faster and more efficient. TruTLine includes high-strength, flush-mounted inserts for boot and fin mounting. After the ski has been molded, each insert location is drilled via CNC positioning to find the exact location.
