The camera is operated by a 9V battery and is 100% waterproof (rated IP68) in order to withstand all weather elements.     It works perfectly. Just remove it from the box, put in battery, plug in monitor and that's it. I highly recommended it.

    Yes, this camera-monitor combo is perfect for 5th wheel setups. They can be placed between the hitch and the trailer, or on the back of the trailer. It will remain connected for distances up to 70'.
