Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small Camera. Great picture and Price. I have been looking for a camera to hitch truck to TT and also to help backup a 24 TT. It does a great job & I would get another one. Customer in the store told me that he had gotten one last week and was very happy with it. His was put on a 32ft 5th wheeler. By it having a magnet in the base of the camera it is easy to move from truck to end of TT. No hard wiring was needed for the install. Just a fresh 9v battery. Great item for the money.

I HAVE A NUMBER OF TRAILERS AND I'M LOOKING AT YOUR WIRELESS CAMERA RVS-83112. ONE OF MY TRAVEL TRAILERS 39' HAS ALUM. SIDING WILL THIS CAMERA WORK TO HELP ME BACK MY TRAILER INTO CAMPING SPOTS. IF NOT WHICH CAMERA DO RECOMEND. I NEED IT TO BE WIRELESS.

Asked by: PAPPY
Please look at SKU# 87644 if you require a self contained wireless camera system that can be moved around. The kit from Hyndsight has external antenna which will greatly improve signal between the camera and monitor(unobstructed range is 1760 feet) versus the RVS Hitch Camera System which uses much smaller internal antennas(70 ft. range) and will have difficulty with an aluminum sided trailer.

Does the monotor have a base to stick to the dash?

Asked by: nick
No, the attached cigarette lighter plug cord for power doubles as the stand for the monitor. A demonstration video for this camera system can be watched here.

Would this work inside toyhauler while traveling to make sure Motorcycle is riding okay?

Asked by: Paul
The camera runs on a 9V battery and is not truly designed for continuous use. Battery life is 3 to 5 hours on the camera. Additionally, wireless systems like this can have connection problems when the camera is in an enclosed area separate from the monitor.

Can I mount it on the rear bumper hitch of my 40' fifth wheel and still receive reception in my truck while hooked up?

Asked by: Anonymous
SKU#82551 is only intended to be used as a short use system on the back of a truck solely for assistance when hooking up to a pull behind trailer/5th wheel. A system like SKU#82540 or SKU#85908 would be better suited for installation on the back of a trailer/5th wheel.

I pull a boat behind my 27' 5th wheel. Will the rv interfere with transmission when hooking up the boat?

Asked by: Eric
This camera system has a range of 70 feet. If your 5th wheel is of common construction material, fiberglass, there is minimal to no interference unlike a pull behind RV with an entire body constructed of metal paneling.

Does this work without signal interference with todays in vehicle blue tooth and wifi systems?

I had bought a wireless backup camera a couple years ago. The only time it worked was for the first couple seconds after turning on my ignition swithch then the blue tooth kicked in and nothing but interference. Also, how far will the signal reach?
Asked by: Rich
This camera system has the FCC sticker on it so interference possibility leans towards none due to requirements for certification. The manufacturer states that signal ability can reach up to 70 feet.
