Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little rough This unit, I guess, is like all the other 5th wheel hitches. The only thing I have found is it doesn't lock in the monuver position very well. I have tried it on several occasions and found that it hasn't locked in and me and my truck is joseled around because of it. It can't be good for the truck or the 5th wheel. If I had it to do all over again I would buy the unit, that auto adjusts to what ever driving and turning you are doing. You do not have to get out of the truck to move the hitch it does it all by itself. It is a lot more money but I think it would be worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sliding fifth wheel hitch If you own a fifth wheel trailer, you must have this 5th wheel hitch. It is a great advantage over the old standard hitch. This hitch will increase the mobility by at least 50% especially when turning and backing into tight areas. There is no comparison. I would highly recommend this hitch to anyone with a fifth wheel camper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a hitch!!! Just got he hitch and used it for the first time. It handled great. The slider function worked great!!! It locked in the first shot and unlocked back to normal just as quick. Big thing is, it is heavy. You need two people to safely remove it from the vehicle. Other than that, I highly recommend!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reese Slider I have the new style with the round tubes on the slider and it works pretty good, for the amount of time I need to use the slider function, 1 out 10 times that I tow, and the cost savings compared to the automatic sliders it's well worth the $$

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reese 16,000 slider hitch I recently purchased the Reese 16,000 5th wheel slider hitch and have had absolutely no problems. The hitch slides easily and locks securely in both the travel and manuevering positions. Just remember to utilize your RV's brakes when sliding the hitch. I would definitely buy this hitch again.

Does this hitch slide/adjust automatically?

Asked by: Anonymous
No it does not. The Kwik Slide has three settings, 'Locked Towing', 'Unlocked', and 'Locked Maneuvering'. For the most part the kwik slide is to be in 'Locked Towing' position and switched to 'Locked Maneuvering' when needed. <a href=http://www.reeseprod.com/support/installation/N30051.pdf>Instruction Manual</a>

Will this hitch work on a 2015 Ram 2500?

Asked by: Anonymous
If you have a factory installed tow package and have a long bed; SKU#85106 or SKU#86246(Reese#30160) would be recommended. For a short bed with factory tow package, mounting adapter SKU#77067(Reese#30154) is needed and any standard hitch up, like SKU#19940, to 25k can be used.<p>If your truck does not have the factory tow package, SKU#19940 is not truck specific, but will need rail kit SKU#12689 and bracket kit Reese#58522 to be mounted.

it is good for 2004 chevy silverado king cab with 6' 6'' bed?

Asked by: miguel
Yes, this fifth wheel hitch can be used on your truck since the bed length is considered 'short'. You will just need to make sure that the 5th wheel gross weight is under 16,000 lbs. so the capability of the hitch is not exceeded.

What are the reasons for a slide? Does it have anything to do with a short bed
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, the slide is for trucks with a short bed so the 5thwhell has enough clearance to turn without colliding with the cab of said truck.
