Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another good purchase from Camping World I ordered two of these tanks for rotational purposes for my camper and my gas grill. I always have a full tank at home so that when returning from a camping trip, I can swap out the empty and I am ready to go camping again without waiting till I have time to go get a refill. About the product, I did the typical internet reviews & price checks and found Camping World internet sales satisfied both areas. The tanks came in well packaged with no signs of damage and ready to be filled. The production date was only 2 months out so filling was a breeze. I recommend these tanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a Gas! I ordered these to replace the two tanks on my Sunline TT, which were 12 years old. It made much better sense to buy new and not have to worry about re-certifying for a long time. The tanks arrived intact in good packaging, manufactured in the same month I ordered them, and I look forward to using them a lot this year. Camping World really had a winner of a deal on these tanks and I appreciate it. Us retired folks have to watch every penny and I have more to watch thanks to this great deal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Damaged goods I ordered two of these tanks for my 5th wheel. They arrived on time but both tanks were damaged, one more than the other. The tanks must have been boxed up that way because the boxes they came in were not broken or bent in any way. Now I have to go to the trouble of returning them and reordering new ones!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some great - some not so great I have bought a number of these tanks from competitors and they were shipped in individual boxes. Camping World receives these on pallets and they are tightly banded. The points of contact between banded tanks will often rub the welds to the point of being able to see the underlying top and bottom seams. This is not safe!! Normally, these tanks are a great value, but only when the weld integrity is not compromised. Try to pass a tank recertification with top and bottom seams exposed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't get the gas out Hooked my new tank up, it will not release the gas. I am having second thoughts about getting another. Now I have a full tank of propane and no way to use it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, larger 30 lb. Propane Tank I purchased this tank a little over a year ago and kept it in storage until I needed it. I received it in a somewhat damaged condition, the handle was bent some so I took a rubber mallet to re shape. It was in a single box without any protection, so needless to say the shipper banged it up in transit. I was still able to use and it works great to replace an older bottle or defective tank.

Do I need to buy a refill adapter for this tank?

Asked by: texladyj
Actual filling of the tank should be handle by a gas/propane company who will have all the necessary equipment to fill a tank such as this. We do not carry the actual fittings and hoses used in the filing of a propane tank.

Can any existing propane be removed from the old tank and transferred to the new tank?

Asked by: CharlieM
It is possible to transfer propane from an old tank to a new empty one. Whether or not the process can be performed is dependent on your propane gas supplier having the appropriate equipment.

Outside thread?

I have a Coachman 1981 21' popup trailer. The propane hose is setup to thread onto outside threads on the tank. This is different than the tanks I have used for gas grills. Will this tank work with this type of connection?
Asked by: Richard
Yes, the threads are on the outside of the tank.

When converting a travel trailer from a 20lb tank to a 30 lb tank do you have to change any other hardware?

Asked by: Bill
If the valve on your 20# is an OPD style like this 30# model, no. Only the reservoir size of your tank is changing since fittings and regulator requirements are the same.

Can you use the same hose hook-up for 20lbs to a 30lb hook-up?

Asked by: Butch
If your 20lb tank is DOT compliant with an OPD valve, then your 'hook-up' will fit to item# 56065. The same valve type is used even though the size of the tanks are different.
