    Can a key wear out?

I bought a 2009 camper, all the compartment locks are very difficult to unlock. Can I get new keys without changing all the locks? The keys look worn out.
    Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, it is possible for a key to wear out or get damaged to where it will cause difficulty working a lock or not work at all. At the same time, the lock its self could be seizing up due to long term environmental exposure. Spray some lubricant directly into the keyhole and barrel to see if that helps your problem. If the problem still persists, it may be possible to locate a pre-cut key depending on how the locks are coded. SKU#49570 specifically is a key coded for '751' locks. If all your locks are coded the same then one key can be used for them all.

Does this fit a 2005 Starcraft pop up camper?

    Asked by: Julie
There is a good chance it does. You will want to check the lock barrel or current key and see if it has CH751 or 751 stamped on it. This key is made for a 751 style lock.

Will this key fit a 1980 Mallard compartment?

    Asked by: Trisha
You will need to see if the lock or working key has an engraving that says '751' or 'CH751'. If so, then this replacement key is likely to work.

    blanks

I'm assuming these are key blanks so we take them and have them cut two are specified keys?
    Asked by: kidcurry
No, this is a pre-cut key for a lock coded CH751 or just 751. There are sometimes tolerance difference between manufacturers, but locks coded CH751/751 for the most part use the same key.
