Additional Information
Does your suspension have the best of you?Ébeat you down?Écontrol you?

Well, it shouldn't. Driving your RV should be an enjoyable experience. And it can be. Adding a Reflex steering stabilizer to your suspension has an immediate effect on stability and cornering control.

When control is an issue:

Reflex steering stabilizers are a safety feature for Class A and C motorhomes, SUVs, vans and emergency vehicles. Tempered steel springs, which are attached to the tie rods and undercarriage, automatically compensate for oversteer caused by pot holes, rut tracks and other unfavorable road conditions, as well as crosswinds and passing 18-wheelers. The springs react instantaneously to bring the vehicle back to center.

Reflex helps you handle:Pot holes and debris — with the Reflex Steering Stabilizer in place, the motorhome will stay straight and go in the direction you want, even when you bounce through a pot hole or other dangerous road condition.

IMPORTANT! A vehicle-specific mounting bracket (not included) is required to install the steering stabilizer. Please refer to the Roadmaster Application Guide below to ensure you're ordering the correct stabilizer and bracket for your vehicle.

  • Front tire blow out — when you blow out a front tire, your vehicle will make an abrupt turn toward that tire, causing you to veer into oncoming traffic or off the road. The stabilizer reacts instantaneously to bring the vehicle back to center.
  • Crosswinds and passing traffic — works to keep your steering centered and prevents oversteering to help control your vehicle more effectively.
  • Road fatigue — helps you stop fighting the steering wheel for control. The stabilizer keeps the steering wheel centered — not you.
  • Rut tracking — ruts cause you to oversteer. With the Reflex Steering Stabilizer on board, your reactions become easier, eliminating overcompensation when steering out of a rut.
  • Rut edging — when your tire drops off the edge of the pavement, it can startle even the most careful driver. The Reflex Steering Stabilizer keeps you going straight — helping you control the vehicle until you’re back on the road.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product that works as advertised Purchased with the 20% off coupon for creating a profile on the new CW website. Had some awesome tech support for Roadmaster. This was installed on a 2018 Thor Windsport 34J with the F53 chassis. The feedback was noticeable immediately. I could instantly tell there was less play in the steering wheel and more force was required to move the wheel. At highway speeds the stabilizer excelled, wind blasts weren't as uncontrollable, and lane tracking was spot on. The stabilizer made the drive much more comfortable and less work required for constant small corrections. The coach now tracks the lane wherever I want it to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tom Broeckelman I didn't purchase this exact model for our 2000 Newmar several years ago, but I will say this in response to the review about one installation not worth the money, but a previous purchase was. Before anyone writes off the benefits of the steering stabilizer, make sure your tires are not part of the problem. After extensive research and talking with my local tire guy, when it came to time replace the front tires, we went with Toyos instead of the Michelins that were on it. The stabilizer installed previous to the tire switch made a tremendous difference; however, changing to the Toyos improved it much more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Steering stabalizer After a 100 mile road test, I found that the coach steers straight down the road. No more "wandering", coarse corrections and most of all, I feel safer when passing or being passed by big trucks. I feel a lot more relaxed while driving. Install was about 30 minutes but did require a HD impact wrench for the 2 frame mounting plate bolts. I found no need for adjustments after installation. She will steer a straight course with no hands on the wheel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must for gas RVs The best single upgrade I've done to our 2016 Coachmen Mirada 35ls (37'). The steering/handling went from a two-handed drive to a one-handed two-finger drive. Our RV is now so comfortable and easy to drive, It handles well, drives straight, and it wonderful turning and returning to center. And, is a "safety assist" in the event of a tire blowout. I can't say enough good about this upgrade. I don't understand why this is not included from the factory. You won't be disappointed. The only concern - I now have to watch my speed because the drive is so easy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from works good but comes apart I bought this 2 years ago and it really helped the going stright. But after about 2000 miles the Tie Rod end of the shaft came un screwed and had to be put back together. I did find that you could check it from time to time and take a 7/8 wrench and re-tighten the shaft. other than that it really helps!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Roadmaster steering stabilizer I just completed a 2400 mile trip and there is no improvement in handling since installation. The MH still pushes hard right when passed by and 18 wheeler and it feels like the RV is being manhandled by crosswinds. It wanders all over the road. I am really disappointed as we had same system installed on our prior 42 ft Freightliner Chassis and it worked exactly as advertised.

Which mounting bracket for a 2016 Tiffin Phaeton 42 LH on a freightliner chassis?

Asked by: Fred
If the information available from Freightliner is accurate, the Phaeton uses an XC series chassis. Unfortunately, the XC series does not have a compatible bracket to install Roadmaster's Reflex Steering Stabilizer.

Search possible using V.I.N.?

I have a Ford chassis with a VIN of <I>deleted</I>. Is it possible to provide to me the correct model number and bracket to order? I am placing the camper into the shop in 2 days for new tires and would like to have this shipped for installation at the same time. Thanks !
Asked by: Neal
Yes, a motorhome VIN number can be decoded to provide chassis type, year, and motor type. According to the VIN# you have an F53 chassis made in 1996 with a V8 motor. Recommended bracket for your motorhome is RBK4(<a href=https://www.campingworld.com/roadmaster-reflex-steering-stabilizer-mounting-bracket-rbk4>SKU#44099</a>).
