What size opening required, my opening is 5 -5/8 inch by 2-1/8 inch?

This unit is a surface mounted alarm, only a 1/4"(6mm) hole is required for running the wires from the alarm.<p>The flush mount version of this alarm, SKU#101985(mfg part#65-542), requires a cutout of 5-5/8"(143mm)W x 3-1/8"(79mm)H for installation.

I am trying to replace a carbon monoxide monitor with the number 60-541-60 MA, this one has 65 MA. Will it replace the one I have?

Yes, this alarm will replace your 60-541. The 60 series was phased out and replaced with the 65 series. This unit is a 65-541.
