Simply connect the ScanGaugeII to your vehicle through it's OBDII port using the included cable, turn the ignition key and the ScanGaugeII automatically connects to your cars internal computer - it's that simple.
Automatically tracks four sets of trip data - Each with 11 individually stored parameters.
Driving Distance. Fuel Used. Trip Fuel Economy. Distance to Empty. Time to Empty. Fuel to Empty
Display 4 gauges at a time from the 12 built-in digital gauges. the information is presented in Real-time!

The ScanGaugeII allows you to troubleshoot your own car, read error codes, and the conditions present when the error occurred. You can also turn off the “Check Engine” light and avoid those costly trips to the mechanic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a snap. I installed the gauge the same afternoon I received it. I have not had the opportunity to fill the tank or set the speedometer calibrations, but the instruction book that came with the instrument is well-written and I anticipate no problems. I had some difficulty finding the OBD port, but once found the connections were very easy to accomplish and I was able to view data on the scan gauge almost immediately. If the gauge is mounted so that the input is to the side input port instead of the port located on the back of the instrument, I recommend replacing the included velcro mounting strips with more substantial strips purchased at a home improvement store such as Home Depot or Lowes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits The Bill I've had my Scangauge ll for about two years. I purchased it to fill in the factory lack of essential gauges. I have an older Ford chassis on my Class C motorhome. The factory never installed a tachometeron my dash and I really needed to know when to downshift coming down steep hills. This worked fine. I also programmed it to read average mpg, transmission temperature and air intake (outside) temperature. I have also had a peoblem with the 'check engine' light coming on after refuelling. I found it was a dirty EGR valve and was able to fix the problem as well as reset the light. Great tool for a reasonable price.I would recommend it for any vehicle owner interested in what is going on inside their drivetrain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Gauge I have had this Scan Gauge for over three years now and I use it in my Dodge diesel, Honda CR-V and Jeep Commander. It is simple to use, just plug it in and choose what you want to monitor. I also use it to scan for trouble codes on my friends vehicles. I had one small problem with the gauge giving a false reading on RPM. Warranty had expired and when I contacted the mfg, they requested the unit. It was repaired and returned and the best no charge. Very impressed with Customer Service and Scan Gauge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome tool to have, especially for heavy towing Only reason it's not a five star, the mounting design is horrible, velco strips (very tempermental, for the money I expected more). Regardless, the commputer itself is outstanding. I use it on a Ram 2500 TD and it is far more accurate than the factory gauges. As far the values not displayed by the factory dashboard that it reads for you and if you are tow a 5th wheel, it's a must have! It monitors performance factors you should be aware of, especially in varying climate and terrin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My opinion GREAT PRODUCT My recommendation is for anyone who has a motorhome and knows a little bit about engines and how they work should get one of these units and install it on their couch, it does exactly what the advertisement says it will do and there is more that it will do when you get the unit and read the instructions booklet, take my word this is a great unit so far and I will rely on it for much information about my engine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scan Gauge II I purchased ScanGaugeII and had a mechanic hoock up the wire. Plugged in the unit and within seconds it was functioning. I wanted to monitor the tempature of the transmision fluid. The code was listed at the web site for my chevy van. The temp guage worked great. I also have instant MPG and average MPG. If I drive to the guage I know I am getting better gass milage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money saver When I bought my RV with a V10 engine, I was concerned about gas consumption. I have been pleased to be able to follow all my data while driving rather than figuring it out after the fact. RPM, Average MPG, real time MPG and MPH are constantly being update in front of me, so I can control performance. I believe it has paid for itself already in just 3 months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sprinter chassis add on The ScanGauge II works very well. It was a plug-n-play for my Winnebago Via on the sprinter chassis. Set up was clear and quick. A lot of nice features and logs. Can display four values at a time. Used double sided tape to mount mine to the dash.A good addition to the modern computer controlled RV. Nice to read the codes without going to a shop.

will it give transmission temperatures for motor homes?

    Asked by: Anonymous
The ScanGaugeII can track transmission temperature through the programmable X-Gauge feature, but only if the vehicle is equipped to do so in the first place. Not all gasoline vehicles have sensors to track transmission temperature or transmission fluid. X-Gauge programmable commands can be viewed here.

Will this work on the Mercedes sprinter chassis

Most likely yes. Check with your Owner's Manual for mention/location of your OBDII port as that is were the ScanGauge will connect.

I have a 2000 Fleetwood Vista with Ford V10 Triton. It has an OBD port but not sure if it is a 1 or 2. Will this unit work

    Asked by: Mike
Odds are you have OBD II on your motorhome. OBD II became standard around 1996, thus vehicles after that year should have said port.
