Fair Product
It was fairly easy to install since I had a 9/16 drill bit with a shank
small enough to fit in a drill. It is basically just a plastic rod going
through a rubber bushing. It does allow opening the screen door as
long as you make sure you pull straight up. The rod is free to move
left and right also which allows it to sometimes miss the handle on
the screen door if not pulled straight up.
Bottom line is that it is simple and it works but I don't know if it works
well enough to go through the trouble to install it and use it.

Why dIdn't I think of this?
Having to always slide the cover to open the screen door,
with 2 young kids in the 5'ver, has become a pain. Now this
simple device fixes that issue. I installed it in about 10
minutes and it works perfectly. Make sure you don't just
eye-ball the job, but do take measurements. There is one
drill point that is optimal for your unit. Mine is slightly
off, but still works quite well. Excellent idea and I wish I
thought of it. One note: Does not fit Airstream doors, per
the packaging.

Great Item
It works great, easy to install, I had a 9/16 bit. Drilled a 11\32 then a 1\2, then a 9/16 which
made it not mess up the plastic as it can do going through with a large bit first. As everyone
says, it works great but misses every now and again. I put a small wire tie on the rod on both
sides of the grommet and stopped it from moving as much. Helped a lot. Great item. Makes
life easier. Good enough I bought one for my other camper and one for a friend.

Works good
It works good just wish they had required a 1/2 inch drill bit in place of the 9/16 -- I
installed it in a Wildcat 2010 --we have clear plastic screen door slides -- they don't
drill very easy -- had a very sharp bit started to chip the plastic -- might have worked
better with dull bit ---- used a 1/2inch bit and then a Dremel to get the correct size

Really like it!
I installed this opener hoping that we could forget about sliding the opening every time we wanted to leave our trailer. It works very well and we are completely satisfied with our purchase. I don't understand why these openers don't come as standard equipment.

GREAT Item!!
This should be standard equipment on all rv's! The only problem with it is that the drill bit size is not really a standard one and for the best results, the hole needs to be drilled with a UINIBIT which is quite expensive. Otherwise, this is a GREAT item!

Handy!
The plastic slider deal is a PIA. This makes it much handier. Use in combination with the screen door cross bar item 35872 and you have it made! Easy to install if you have a drill bit and a drill. Just read directions, think it over before you make a hole!

Great little product.
The screen door opener is an answer to a problem in exiting the motor home thru the screen door. The access thru the slide was annoying, and now is somewhat elimanated. The installation required some "engineering", but was surmountable.

1) Does this open the screen door from inside & outside OR just inside the RV?
2) Will this work on the clear slides that I'm about to order and replace with broken original ugly white screen door slides?
Thanks.
1)The intent of this product is to allow a way to operate the screen door handle from the inside without having to move the slide and reach through to manipulate the latch.
2)A hole has to be drilled in the slide to install this opener, so it is universal regardless of slide type.
A product video from Camco can be watched here.
