Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Start Fast Holes Purchased many Eskimo products over the past few years. Always been impressed with the quality, parts availability, and ease to maintain and service. Purchase the Z71 10" Auger this winter. The ease that the motor takes to start at the coldest of mornings -30 and colder after traveling an hour or 2 in the box of my truck. Within the first 1 2 3 pulls of the recoil fires up. Then pounding 4ft deep holes with ease and speed have made jumping around the lake a lot easier and faster getting on more fish and more spots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Eskimo Shark z71 I am very happy with this auger. It is durable and well built. I run trufuel in it and I have never had an issue starts quick and easy and can take a beating! Only reason I give it a 4/5 is it’s heavy. I didn’t buy it to worry about it but for anyone else that thinks hole hopping with this beast will be fun think again! Not exaggerating it but it’s not ideal for hole hopping. Overall myself for how I would apply it to my fishing have to give a 5/5 Thank you Eskimo!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great auger but primer sticks This is my second Eskimo auger and it runs great and starts easily. The only issue I have with the auger is the primer. Living in Interior Alaska temperatures get a lot colder than the lower 48. In negative temps the primer sticks and takes a bit to get it started. Gave in and bought an Eskimo auger bag to protect it from the elements during transport. The primer on my mako never stuck. Maybe a fluke but great auger.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the money I bought it a year ago has not mist a bet yet start great at -35 even Do have to make sure the handle bolt stay tight as they lossen off. And start feeling flimsy. Not a good source of part suppliers in Alberta and Eskimo do not ship to Canada as I like to have a few part around just in case. Bought the full bag to go with it and is a little tight fit with the 10”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sound investment I purchased it for the 2017/2018 season. I owned a 43cc Mako 10in that is over 15yrs old and still runs and cuts good. Saw the Z71 10in and thought it was a good time to upgrade. It is an excellent auger with plenty of power, and I appreciate how easy it is to get running, between the hyper-coil and the added fuel primer ball. Thinking I may get 15yrs plus out of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game Changer Drilling holes in the ice will never be the same. This is a game changer. Read the directions and keep your thumb on the shut off switch. This is a powerful unit and never apply down pressure when drilling. Be ready to hit the off switch as soon as you pop through. Awesome fast auger, and very little clean up as most the ice flushes up and out of the hole.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, fast cutting! This is the first power auger I have purchased after always using an Eskimo 8 inch hand auger. I am extremely pleased with the performance of this auger 1-2 pulls and the engine starts and runs smooth and cuts fast! I've drilled about 30 holes since buying and I still haven't used a tank of gas yet! Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase
