Shock Kit for 2 3/8-Inch Axle Tube is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality bolt on kit. - installation only review I just installed this kit on a sunset trails 17' hybrid trailer. The kit installed easily. A good quality impact gun and drill are a huge time saver. This kit is geared toward a trailer with a box section frame, or a C-channel frame facing inward. An I-beam frame will complicate installation. The kit comes with all necessary hardware and involves dropping the spring perches, and changing them out with the supplied ones. Brilliant self threading 3/8 bolts significantly ease installation. I installed this kit to increase trailer control through a reduction in bouncing around, and to cut down on bottoming. I have not yet towed it since the installation.

would it be a good idea to put just one pair on a tandem axle travel trailer that is 5,000 lbs?

I'm trying to control some rocking on the highways.
Asked by: Gman
I would replace both if doing so. This will work if you are having a bouncing/rough ride issue, but if you are having more of an issue with sway or wind then you may want to look into anti-way bars instead.

will

Will this raise the hight of the 5th wheel if so do you know how much
Asked by: Anonymous
This is an add-on product and should not change the ride height of a pull-behind camper. <a href=http://lci1.com/assets/content/support/manuals/Shock_Kit_Aftermarket_Install_Manual.pdf>Shock Kit Install Manual</a>
