Prchased these around Christmas but did not use them until May 30th weekend 2010. After setting up my 5th wheel the drivers side w...as alittle high so I put and extra bit of tighting on my New wheel
Chocks and they bent really bad to the point I can't use them. What I see is they are not as strong as the old ones. Must be very careful not to over tighten. I will keep using my old ones and save my money the next a new product comes out.
Ok, we were skeptics. Several camping friends reported this product as a fix to our 30ft
trailer movement after set up. We added... braces for the slide outs and that helped
some. We now had minor movement. Our friends reminded us of the “X-Chock.” We
decided to go ahead and buy them with the thought in the back of our mind, that we
could return them if they didn’t work out. Well, needless to say they were right. No
movement even with grandchildren on board. We should have listened. We highly
recommend this product. You just might be surprised too!
We used these for the first time on a 5 day camping trip on our Coachman Travel
Trailer, 35'. We used one on each side of the t...railer, and it completely took away any
trailer movement we had before using traditional wheel stops, etc. We were even
blocked up due to an un-level site 4 on one side. They work great and I would
recommend them to everyone.
just bought these for my 2004 25FT caravan travel trailor, (i had used regular old
chocks).... what a difrence, there is little... to no back and forth movement at all. setting
them up is a breeze, my 8yr old son is in charge of them when we set up.ive seen
people on the reviews talk about they cant get them to fit..talked to a tech and he said it
might be tire size.. so make sure the tires are in factory specs. other then that all is
The chocks seem to work well. The question relates to the paper enclosed within the box they cam in. Quote: Warning! Do not use ...the BAL Chock as a parking brake for your trailer. Be sure to level your 5th wheel or travel trailer before installing the BAS Chock between
the trailer tires.Remove the BAL Chock from your tires before connecting the trailer to the tow vehicle.Operating the 5th wheel landing gear jacks or trailer tongue jack (up and down) can
cause unnecessary stress to the BAL Chock. If you do not remove the BAL Chock from your tires before operating your trailer's jacks could damage the Chock and void the Manufacturer's warranty. Unquote.
Control of the trailer must be maintained at all times. I do not lift the hitch off the ball until the trailer wheels have been prevented from freedom to roll. The above statement means this voids the warranty. If I knew this, I would not have bought them.
Just purchased my second set of these. Our first set went with the old trailer when we sold it. These chocks
significantly reduc...e trailer movement, and they are very well made. There is another similar product on the
market with a lever arm. While the lever may seem like a better design it is not. They are knuckle rappers, and
not as well made as this product. Stick with the X-Chocks.
Had the previous version of BAL tire chocks but the wouldn't fit between the tires of my new trailer. These work great and provid...e much more stability than regular wheel chock. It is also nice when it has been raining and you aren't picking up muddy chocks and having to store them in a clean compartment!
Narrow enough for narrow tire spacing. Easy to use. and quite reliable. Some only use for stablization, but my fiver is sitting on... my inclined driveway, with just one X-chock in place and no movement. I leave these in place while I make my pull test and haven't had one spin out, although at the time I do have my trailer brakes engaged.
Use caution when applying these Cross lock wheel chocks!

Concept wise I give them a 5 but in practical use I would only give them a 3 because they can and will change your trailer axle al...ignment in regards the parallel direction of the trailer frame if applied too firmly. If your axles are not anchored solid enough to their mounts and are pushed in opposing directions, you will experience an increased amount of wear to the outer edges of your tires. It happened to me. Apparently the axles on my 5th wheel were not tightened securely enough to withstand use of these chocks and moved significantly
requireing a re-alignment of the axles.
I have had these since they first came out. They are by far the best bang for your buck! They should be your first accessory purch...ase for your trailer.
Once I used them without blocking the corners of the trailer just to see the difference. It is amazing how they stop the wobble in the trailer even without blocking the corners. When I got mine they each came with there own wrench. The size of the nut is also the size of the nut on the scissor jacks on the corners. So you only need one wrench or ratchet. Do yourself a favor; buy these. You won't regret it!
Pros: Easy to use, Great product, Heavy duty and perfectly made
Purchased a set this year. They just flat out work! Travel Trailer is much more stable. Very easy to put on and take off. Can even... put a padlock on them so they don't get stolen. Quality made product!
I purchased these last spring and used them lots this sumer on my 26.5' 5th wheel. Not only do they set up easy, they make unhooki...ng safe. No more digging chocks out of the mud. After a full season of use they look just like the day i got them in the mail. I recommend for everyone. My RV doesnt rock around like it used to. It feels stable and
like I said before it's safer.
If you're looking for a high quality in-between chocking system for your tandem trailer tires, these are an excellent solution. No...t only will they collapse down to fit in the tight
spaces between those tandem tires that have minimal clearance between them, but they also have a locking feature that keeps them where you put them. The included ratchet style wrench makes them easy to install and remove. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a replacement to standard wheel chocks.
I purchased the X-Chock Locking System after many many sleepless nights of constant shaking. I often have about 6-8
people sleepi...ng in my travel trailer. As a result, movement and shaking has become an unbearable issue. After buying the X-Chock, the shaking reduced by more than 80%. I'm very happy with it and wish I hadn't waited so long to purchase.
Bought a pair of these for our 29' travel trailer. Works perfect! I even forgot one still on
when I went to move trailer a few f...eet and it locked the tires and didnt damage the chock
at all. Even comes with holes to put a padlock on them in case of thieves. Highly
these work great! really easy and fast to put on. Theres no movement at all in the trailer even with several people in it walking.... Im not using any other type of chocks from now on. highly recomended.
The X-Chocks work great, completely as advertised and are of nice quality. I use them on my 40' toy hauler so it stays
put when ...I remove the tow vehicle. The wrench that is included to adjust the chocks is great - no need to have
your toolbox at the ready. However, the shipping experience fell WAY short of expectations for a company the size of
Camping World. First, it took 48 hours for the order to process and ship. This customer thinks that is unacceptable
in today's business environment. Secondly, the product was shipped in its own factory packaging without being packed inside a shipping box. Maybe not a problem for some items that are light, but these are fairly substantial in weight
and by time I received the box it was almost split open at the seams. The provided wrench had nearly come out of the packaging and would have been lost. I have not received such a poorly shipped product in recent history. I also
don't blame UPS as I don't believe the box is sufficient to hold up to the rigors of cross-country shipping. Like I said, the X-Chocks are great and I love Camping World, but from now on I may stick to in-store purchases.
After suffering the humiliation of dropping the front of my camper due to it rolling forward after un-hitching I decided
no more.... I purchased these prior to a big trip and I can tell you they are one of the best investments ever. So simple to use and lock the camper down. I can tell the
difference not only during un-hitching but the whole thing is much more stable. Goodbye chock block.
Nice concept and functions well. They were pretty stiff to crank open and close but I
hope that loosens up some over time. The r...atcheting wrench that came with them
seems to be a nice quality piece.
I bought the x- chocks for my 28 foot Aspen Trails travel trailer, they work so much better than the traditional chocks. They are ...so easy to install on the trailer and to remove. It takes the sway out of the trailer while walking around in it. It is a great product.
We bought these chocks for our new Travel Trailer, yet
before we even got to go camping for the first time in it we
had to use t...he chocks for something else entirely! My
husband needed to load a non-working 3/4 ton truck onto a
flatbed trailer to move it. The blocks kept moving and
nearly taking the trailer with it. So we grabbed the
X-Chocks out of the Camper. It not only kept the trailer
from rolling, it kept it from moving entirely! We are
extremely happy with this purchase!
GREAT QUALITY, EASY TO USE , LIGHT WEIGHT, AND THEY WORK GREAT , SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND GET THE QUALITY YOU NEED, IT SAVES YOU... MONEY IN THE LONG RUN AND FRUSTRATION , YOU CANT GET THIS BRAND OF QUALITY HERE IN CANADA , THANK YOU
BALL AND C.W. QUALITY DOES OUT PREFORM
Just purchased a new Travel Trailer and currently have it stored in my driveway that is
on a bit of a slant. I was nervous about... the plastic Lynx Leveler chocks that I previously
had from our pop-up. Once the X-Chocks were in I put them on and feel more safe
about the trailer not rolling for whatever reason. I feel this will also help anyone trying to
steal the trailer as there are some shady individuals in my area. Also, while camping it
locks in the shiftiness of the trailer. Doesn't move at all while walking around in the
trailer. Suggest this item to anyone!
I just purchased these because of the lockable option without thinking about the other
benefits. For example, I park my trailer... on a steep driveway and have always blocked
my tires of course; when i un-hitch my trailer it always scared me because the trailer
would still move about 3 inches forward and create a pinch point not to mention the
fear of the trailer hitting the truck. With the addition of these X-Chocks there is no
movement now when I un-hitch plus it's way more stable when camping as far as
movement. These are increadible and simple. Fantastic product and if you own a
trailer or R/V etc. This is a must have.
I purchased these for this summer. After a disaster with the other brand Yellow ones.
These truly make the trailer not rock. The...se are well worth the money and I highly
recommend. Don't spend your money on the Pair here. Purchase seperately, they are the same thing, and you'll have two wrenches, AND you'll pay only around $92 vs $106.
They hold your travel trailer where you set them. Works very well, and removes some of the bounce when waling within your trailer.... Easy to install, just a few minutes per side. Great product, and would highly recommend them to anyone that has a medium to large travel trailer. Well worth the price.
This has added to stablizing my RV 100%. I would recommend these to anyone having Rocking motion with their RV. I had added Additi...onal Stablizing to my Electric Jacks which took 80% shaking out of my Rig. The Chocks took out the other 20%.
This is a far better product to use to secure your wheels. Makes the trailer feel much more stable and
very easy to install and ...remove. Just ratchet them down before unhooking the trailer and you're
These X-Chocks stabilized our camper like it's never been stabilized before. The sale price on them was great and really influence...d our decision to get them. I was able to
get up early and go fishing without waking the wife.
The brokerage fees charged by your shipping company are a
rip off. I purchased a $80 item and was charged $35.00 in
brokerage fe...es, If i had known this in advance i would not
have purchased this item, I deal with companies from the US
all the time and not subjected to these ridiculous fees--so
much for FREE TRADE
I was skeptical at first and only bought them upon recommendation of all the reviews, they do a darn good job, while no product wi...ll ever fully eliminate the rock or bounce, these certainly knock it down to an acceptable level. Easy to install even on the tight fit between my tires. We have a fiver and this product is certainly a must have for anyone,
travel trailer or fiver! I would have rated them at 5 stars had the two pack come with two wrenches, I feel for the price that an extra wrench could be included.
the x chock is a great product. Although, I live in Canadaand they were shipped UPS. This meant that the value had to
be declared... and shipping was expensive. In the end it would
have been much cheaper to buy them from my local dealer.
Live and Learn.
The tire chocks work very well and are of good quality. I recently purchased them for my new fifth wheel. If I would of known how ...well the worked I would have used them on my travel trailer. Installation and removal is very easy and they take most of the fore/aft rocking
motion out of the trailer.
We have 3 sets of these and need 1 more set. We use them on our 5th wheel camper and on both of our enclosed trailers. Must have t...andem (2) axles at least to work. People are amazed when we pull up and put these on and see how slick they work. Your camper or any tandem axle trailer "will not" roll. You can't go wrong with these. If you buy the set of 2 you get the ratchet wrench with it too.
Pros: Easy to use, Great product, Lightweight, Heavy duty and perfectly made
These are the best in keeping our camper stable and the difference was noticeable with them on and off. The camper was way more so...lid feeling without the normal shake that comes from sitting without.
If you have a dual-wheeled 5th wheel or trailer these chocks stop the rocking on the axels.
These chocks work much better than c...hocks that are used on both sides of the tires. These
chocks are easy to install and lightweight too.
Wish I had purchased these when I first purchased our camper! we have a 32 Bumper
Pull and this Product Used as directed will st...op the front to back movement. I highly
recommend it. One may do the job but we purchased the 2 pack and used them both.
These chocks really make a difference. I set them up every time I set up at a campground
and also in storage. The chocks are the... first thing that come off when leaving a
campground and the last thing I set up when setting up. I liked them so much I bought a
set for my son's travel trailer and he sets them up each time too.
This is an great product, adds allot of stability to the 5th wheel when parked. They do not
retract easily if you have a tight t...andem. Difficult to do at first but does get easier.
Overall good product and worth the money. Easy to use and remove.
