Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I always drycamp so I bought this thinking it would minimize starts with the pump which draws peak amperage each time therefore saving battery power by running steady. Now the water runs about 30 seconds or more before the pump starts and then runs steady until the tank re-filled. Now I have a steady water flow and no noise at night while flushing and washing. I can flush and wash 3 or 4 times before the pump starts. With a piece of hose and fittings in hand, it took me only 30 minutes to install. Save the battery, save the pump, no noise at night, steady water flow, works perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a Storage Battery for the Water System Like many I was annoyed with the lack of flow and hammering of the water pump when the water faucet was turned on or when flushing the toilet. Replaced the original equipment in the Airstream after 12 years of good service with the 2088 pump and the Shurflo Accumulator tank. Just check the precharge of 20 psi every year and the stored fluid in the Shurflo Tank gives you good flow instantly without the pump running for several night time flushes or faucet operations. Once the Bladder within the tank reaches near neutral pressure the pump cycles to maintain flow. Turn off the faucet and pressure builds again with the stored energy within the tank. Works great, easy to install and really smooths the flow of water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Water with the pump off - Silently I installed this tank in my 1996 Coachmen 34' MH. "T"ed it into water line downstream of pump. I installed a valve to isolate it if desired. The first time I used it, the pump ran 20-30 seconds with all faucets off while the system pressurized. After that there is gallon or so of water available before the pump starts. Very nice at night (with pump off) to get a drink, rinse a cup, or make a couple flushes SILENTLY ! ! ! On city water you don't know it is there as city pressure eliminates need for pump anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review of 2-Gallon Stainless Steel Tank Installation of tank was very easy. The tank stores up to 2 gallons of water. The pump won't run until the tank is empty and pressure drops off. I can flush the toliet and wash hands a couple of times before pump comes on. This is great at night when you are trying to be quiet. With this tank, it has made taking showers a much more pleasant experience. Except for a surge of hot water when turning on the showerhead ,after soaping up, it gives a perfect shower. If you leave the shower running during the complete shower, it gives a perfect shower with no surges in pressure. The wife did yell at me when I flushed the toilet, she said the shower got cold.. Except for that, my wife and I are very happy with this new tank. The wife doesn't mind dry camping anymore becouse she can take a shower without getting scalded.
