Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slunky Sewer Hose Support The Slunky Sewer Hose Support is a very good product. It's durable, it's light, it folds up very easily to a small size package, it's simple to use and it actually works. No more low point traps trying to drape your sewer hose across blocks and boards to get it to flow to the sewer connection. Just set it on the ground and stretch it out and then lay your sewer hose on it and it automatically has the correct elevation to flow correctly to the sewer from your RV. The one we have will probably be the one and only one we'll ever need to purchase 'cause it 's very durable and I can't see it ever wearing out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK but tips easily Like one of the other reviews, I found that this product tends to tip easily even with the sewer hose resting in it. This defeats the whole purpose of proper slope if it falls over while draining tanks. It doesn't always do it, but it happens often enough that I've lost confidence in it. So always mindful of it while dumping. On the original OEM sewer hose that came with RV, it developed a pinhole while dumping after the support tipped over. It wasn't pleasant.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK but collapses easily Description says it has tie downs but it should be singular there was only one at the low end. The unit I bought also did not have any stabilizing feet that shows in alternate photo. When extended it is a bit flimsy and has a tendency to collapse while setting it up. I have not had trouble with it after it is set up. It is OK, it is compact, it does the job but I'm not convinced it is the best thing out there.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slunky is tall on idea but short on design This Slunky works okay but would be greatly improved if the tall end and short end were both a couple inches taller. The tall end never comes close to touching my waste line and the short end always leaves a 3 to 4 uphill run before the discharge. The product ultimately works okay but you manually have to raise the waste hose to drain remaining sewage in line...every time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay, but problematic I've used this for about 20 years. It will do the job, and is great if you have to go around a large rock, log, or something. But the security straps can be clumsy to use, and if not careful it can tip over as it is more flexible than some hoses which can force it over. Sometimes the high end won't go under the utility fitting on the rig, if the rig is leveled and very low at that point - this is a problem if you are using the Slunky to keep the hose out of the mud or something as opposed to creating a fall line. Sometimes the Slunky is too short, but better than nothing; putting two Slunkys end to end is not plausible due to their tapered configuration - high end to low end won't fly unless there is a hole in the ground halfway to the sewer ground inlet. There is another similar but stouter-looking hose support available on this site that appears not to use straps because it has higher sides, and it may be a better consideration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Before I bought this hose support, I used to try to prop up the sewer hose with boards and rocks or whatever I could find to make sure the waste water would not sit there in the hose. The Slunky is so easy to use I don't know how I got along without it. Now I have no standing water in the sewer hose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed. I ordered this sewer hose support for my RV after seeing who well it worked for other campers. The flexibility of the support allows one to curve the sewer hose to get the best drainage. I got the 20 foot one, but seldom need to expand it the full 20 feet. Good to know that I have it if I need it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The hose arranger We had a slunky for many years, and it finally gave up the ghost. It was brittle and broke. I bought another, and if and when it goes, I will get another. I consider it indispensable. Off the ground, or dirt, or mud. Where a sewer hose should be. I recommend this without question!

Can this be left folded for shorter hoses?

Example I have two ten foot lengths for when it is longer than 10ft to hook in. If all I need is one10ft segment to hook up can I use this for the one segment? Or is it only serviceable at full length?
