works as advertised
i bought 2 of these stabilizers. mounted them on a 5/4 deck board, the lenth of the step, and cut out some one sided adhesive rubber for the metal to metal contact. i have a jayco 29 rlds 2012. the three step entry gives when i climb the steps to enter the camper. these campers with slides are so high off the ground now. this takes out all
the unstableness, and if your in the camper, you dont feel anybody coming in the door. used to shake the whole rig.

HUGE improvement
I've never been totally impressed with the automatic steps on our MoHo. In fairness, they ARE fairly sturdy but every time I step on them I wonder how much they will tolerate, especailly when we are loading
and unloading with hands full of "stuff". I JUST put one of these under the bottom step and tried it. What a HUGE improvement. The step is as solid as the concrete below it. And it also stabilized the second step. It was dead easy to "install". I just had to lean over and unscrew the jack until it fit snugly under the step. I lifted slightly to ensure a snug fit. I will probably order a second because there is a very slight fade at the very edges of the step. Having one on each end will make it about as solid as it can be. Great product.

Good Idea
I think these would work good with steps that do not have
rugs attached to them. Ours does however have the rugs that
you attach with springs and therefore the jacks do not have a
stable surface below the step and are unfortunately kind of
wobbly.

Excellent Product
This is an excellent product and it does exactly what it says it will do. Make sure you order two however (they should come packaged in pairs actually), since 1 only lets you place support on one side of the step only. I ordered the larger set for my 2nd step just to provide
that much more support. My RV has 4 steps though and not all do.

Great Product!
This is a great and much needed product for those flimsy steps that flex and act almost like a diving board. No more shaking the whole camper when heading out and no more feeling like you are about to jump off of a diving board. Not to mention the danger of taking a terrible fall down those steps!

Stabil-Step Jack
If your concerned with the sag in your rig steps as you enter or exit this is the easy solution. I purcahsed two of these (one for each side of the bottom step) and the steps are rock solid! They are also very easy to adjust to whatever ground you are parked at.

Nice, but not needed.
Works as described but not great and I returned it. First, your steps may not always have room for it to go under it. Second, you cannot really attach it and I could see driving off without it. I am sure it works, but decided not to try it further.

Stair Saver
I put one of these under the bottom step of my camper and it takes all the stress out of the stair system when entering or leaving. No more rocking the house when I get in. I'm putting a second one under the bottom step to balance the load.

What is the size of the top & bottom pad?
The top and bottom panels are 4-1/16" x 4-1/16"
Date published: 2019-03-08
can the jack be centered below the step or are two jacks needed for proper balance?
One can be used in the center of the step, but the most stable configuration is two of these stabilizers on each end of the step.

Will I need Stabilizers for the second and top step?
Does this product come as a set of two?
These would only be needed under the bottom step (sold 1 per package).
Date published: 2019-03-08
Is this attached to the step?
The Stabil-Step Jack is attached to the bottom of your step and can be retracted while in storage.
