Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sabil-Step I purchased my first Stabil-Step Jack 2 years ago and installed it on my 5th wheel trailer. Upon upgrading to a new unit the Sabil-Step Jack was the first purchase I made in upgrading my unit. With the instalation of this product you have 6 inches of variable adjustment for step stability. With the bolt-on design you do not have spend time searching for your step support. This unit folds up and out of the way for transportaion then folds down for easy support adjustment. These should be provided by the factory on all RV's with mechanical steps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I'm so glad I purchased this item. After reading the reviews I purchased 2. Set up very quickly. Sometimes I needed to put a lego pad under jack to give it a solid surface. Made a world of difference on my knees and on the amount of movement in the trailer when someone was coming or going. Recommend them highly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product These should come in pairs as opposed to just single, so just make sure you order 2 for both sides of your step. I found these to be excellent. I ordered the smaller set also for my bottom step, but my RV has 4 steps and not all do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes stepping up and down very stable I like the stability this adds to the steps on the RV. Works as designed. I have now seen some systems that attach right to the bottom step that may make it more convenient to use. A nice addition and very well made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stabil-Jack...GREAT! I read on a review to get TWO jacks, but got only one, and am thrilled with it! They work wonderfully, and I feel I am helping my steps to last longer!! Highly recommend them..one or two!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really needs two As it stands, one may not be enough. I find it to be too wobbly. I ended up installing boards on the top and bottom the same size as the underside of the step. Works a lot better now.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stabil- jack Ordered one and a month later ordered another. The second one was of lesser quality than the first. Thinner metal plates on the second one. Much more flimsy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as described. Does its job. My 100# lab uses the bottom step like a spring board. Keeps the steps very sturdy. The whole coach no longer shakes when he bounds in and out.

Do these mount permanently? If so how?

Asked by: Turnkeyron
No, this product is not intended to be mounted permanently. The RV steps would not be able to retract if one of these step jacks were mounted/welded to it.

How many do I need?

The photo shows one jack in one corner...but it feels like I'd need two: one for each side for best results...am I correct?
Asked by: Frank
One steel jack supports up to 750 lbs. Only one is needed, but per reviews some people prefer 2.

What is the size of the top square?

I am concerned that this may not fit in the underbelly of the step because my step has a bar through the middle of it.
Asked by: missy
The top and bottom plates are 4" x 4".

Will this item help the pins last longer on my auto steps? I have had the pins replaced twice in six months or less.

Asked by: Anonymous
These will help, yes, by stabilizing the step when it is in the open position you will minimize the wear on the workings of the step.
