SuperFlex Butyl Tape is a high quality extruded tape sealant and is 100% solids unlike other putty tapes.

It has unmatched screw wrapping ability and is used as your primary sealant which is the perfect compliment to the SuperFlex Self-Leveling sealant. It is intended for a wide range of applications including sealing joints and under any component (skylight, vent, etc.) on your RV roof. Standard measurement is 1/8” x 3/4” x 60’.

Why is it not packaged?

I received this item with no wrapper around it. As a result it had melted to the box and to the paper that was added to the box f...or shipping, I also ordered lap seal which was glued to it. The lap seal tube were on top of it with the weight of them crushing the tape on one side. I am not sure about how the product works since I was unable to use it. I am not even sure its what I ordered since it did not have a package.

Is this recommended for a fiberglass roof?

If not what do you recommend? I want to remove an old roof vent and install a Fan-Tastic roof vent.

This butyl tape can be used on practically any type of substrate. It is used in between the vent flange and roof, fasteners will still have to be used to secure the vent. But this tape will operate as a seal between the vent flange and roof as well as help seal the fastener holes.
