You CANNOT use the remote display with the LCHW30 or LCHW50. These models have a built-in display and there is no provision for connecting an additional remote display. If you want a remote display, you'll have to purchase the HW30 or HW50 models which DO NOT have a display on the device. I prefer a display in the power compartment so I can see the power immediately after connecting. Having a remote display in the coach would be nice, but only if there were also one in the electrical compartment.

No, the EMS-RDS(SKU#56418) remote display is not compatible with the LCHW series surge protectors(SKU#56417 & 56406) as they have a built-in display.

The remote display is used with the EMS-HW30C(SKU#56419) and EMS-HW50C(SKU#56420).

Assuming a "dogbone" is a typical 50 to 30 amp adapter, the answer is yes. The unit will work properly with any 120 or 240 volt service applied and, it will check to make sure your adapters and the supplied power are wired and configured properly. If not, it will give you a fault code and prevent power from being applied to the RV. I've supplied power to my coach via this unit from 50 amp, 30 amp, standard 15/20 amp wall outlets, and offboard generators. It performs flawlessly.
