EXCELLENT ADDITION TO WATER SYSTEM
AS A RETIRED PLUMBER I UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF PROTECTING
YOUR WATER SYSTEM, FILTERED WATER NOT ONLY TASTES AN LOOKS BETTER,
YOUR FIXTURES WILL LAST LONGER, FROM FAUCETS, TO TOILET VALVES, EVEN
THE WATER HEATER. THE LESS SEDIMENT YOU GET IN THE WATER HEATER THE
LONGER IT WILL LAST, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE AN ELECTRIC/GAS WATER
HEATER. THE FILTER WILL KEEP YOUR ANODE TUBE AND ELEMENT CLEANER
FAR LONGER THAN AN UNFILTERED SYSTEM. WITH THE MINERALS BEING
FILTERED, SEATS STEMS, AND O-RINGS OR WASHERS IN FAUCETS LAST MUCH
LONGER. I'M A RETIRED PLUMBER AN I APPROVE THIS PRODUCT

EXCEDED EXPECTATIONS
Fittings on this filter were first class as opposed to the Camco filters in which the fittings (plastic) crack and leak almost immediately upon installation. Water tastes good, little if any pressure drop. This filter is not advertised to remove contaminants or other harmful impurities that would effect your health. We have never had any medical problems that could be attributed to the drinking water in any of the over 200 campgrounds that we have visited in the past few years. This filter is priced right and would highly recommended it over the Camco filter.

Great Filter. Use it all of the time!!!
I have used this filter since my RV was new in 2002. I replace it every year or so and have never had a problem with it. I attached a pressure regulator and a 90 degree fitting with a water spigot on it after the filter and have my RV water hose attached to the inlet side. When I put this on my RV, it lets the hose hang straight down towards the ground. Very easy to use.

RV exterior water filter
Grat water filter. Much better to place filter outside RV for ease of access and to save RV
pipes. Does not adversely impact water flow. Metal couplings stronger than plastic. Note:
do not leave in direct sunlight as product is rated for up to 100 degree temperature - I live in
a desert area and so I use long enough hoses so the filter can be placed under RV in the shade.
Use hoses rated for drinking water safe (I.e. hoses rated for boat/RV).

Tasty Water - Finally
First used this at the beach where water is notoriously yuck, and wow. After the trailers system flushed out the RV parks water the water tasted great. Recommend this product if you can't stand the taste of typical domestic water system water.

Dependable Long Lasting Product
I have used these water filters for many years in two different RV's and have been
completely satisfied. They last a year, make the water taste better no matter where you may be and are well made.

Tried several - System IV is The Best
I tried a couple different filters the first several years of RVing and found System IV to be the best. We camp at private campgrounds and also many state parks, and the System IV removes chlorine after-taste from water. I'm not a scientist with access to a lab to quantify filtering bacteria, etc from the water, but the taste of the filtered water is very pure. I hate chlorine mixed with my caffeine; Excellent price too.

I like it...I like it alot!
Like this one, especially due to the heavy duty metal hose end versus the one I tried before (blue cartridge - which cracked and leaked.) I also use the quick connects. Would be nice to have a little better flow rate, but if slower ensures good quality water entering my tanks and direct line system, I'm satisfied.

How and where is this filter installed? It appears to only need a wrench or pliers, is that right?
These are sold 1 per package. This filter would be installed in-line between the water source and water entry on the RV.
