BE AWARE WHEN USING THESE PRODUCTS
I used this product(s) this weekend as directed by their instructions as my water tank
had sat over a
year without being drained (dumb I know) BUT these products creates a lot of foam in
the water and getting it flushed out from the tank, the water pipes in all areas of the
coach is a MAJOR operation let alone using a very large volume of water. My concerns
are the residual of the sanitizer and the WARNINGS in using it. If the warnings are so
dire, it makes me wonder if it is safe to drink the water afterwards. I called THETHFORD,
and all I got was keep flushing to remove all the foaming.

Much Better Than Bleach!
There are two things I can't stand in my RV's fresh water system: Bacteria and bleach! This product effectively takes care of both problems with none of the danger from spilling bleach on clothing or dealing with the odor of bleach. It works exactly as advertised with absolutely no odor or aftertaste. I only wish Thetford sold the sanitizer component alone, because I prefer to sanitize the fresh water system
in my RV every couple of months and do a full system cleaning using the detergent component only once a year to save water.

Great Product
I use this every year, and so far twice this year since I changed RVs. The new (used) RV came with nasty smelling
tanks and hot water tank. This did the trick. Box was enough for two full cycles. Water smells and tastes great
now. This is a must. It takes time and patience, but this product makes the job come out right. Too fast is no good
for your health.

Fresh Water Tank and hoses
What I normally do in the early spring is put chlorine bleach into the
inlet of the tank. Then lots of fresh water. I then turn the pump on to
get the blend up to the faucets (NOT THE WATER HEATER). After a
few hrs I start opening faucets, turn the pump on and let it all go into
the grey tank which I will dump later. IM gonna try CWS water
treatments for after I have flushed out the chlorine. and leave it (Them)
in for a week or so, depending on if I have used the Motor Home. If
that seems to work Ill use it all season until Winter. Dont forget
standing water can grow lots of nasty things. I do not drink any RV
WATER so my concerns are different then others. To the person who
inquired into hoses, I just use one that gets hooked up to 'flush' the
black tank.
There are attachments that can be found to hook up to a bucket and a
faucet/hose I think it works like a Venturi?? to suck up whatever you
put in the bucket to help you sanitize. I am very leary of water
anywhere near the black side. Hope this helps someone,,,thanks

Works great
We purchased this to flush out our fresh water tank on our horse trailer. The water had a odor and I just could not use it except to wash dishes and the commode. I flushes as it says, but had to rinse an extra time. Still had a little foam the first we went camping, but not it is great. No more odor. Thanks

All Clean
Maybe.... After following directions for Sanitizing my holding tank, I wondered how I could sanitize my hoses too. It would be nice if they included some kind of adapter to sanitize hoses! If it didn't kill my lawn, I would use it again.
