Theford 27GL dump tank
I have owned the 27gl Theford for about a year and a half now. Two issues that I encounter while using the unit are, the handle is very flimsy and easy to break when pushing backwards on gravel. Also, the bayonet on the hose is poorly designed because it comes loose while duping and the gaskets will fall out. I am very careful in not putting stress on the handle when pushing backward. I also replaced the bayonet attachment with an aftermarket one, and I also added a shut off valve at the end of the hose for better control. Now the tank works as designed, just be gentle with the handle.

Thetford SmartTote 35 Gallon
I broke the first handle within a week. I called and was sent another one that broke in 2 weeks and it broke also. It's not a strong enough design for a tank this large. I am currently using a luggage strap, but have to cable tie the tank handle to the axel to keep it trailing straight. Also, the locking attachments and hose work loose as the fit is sloppy and comes off without putting on lock screw. Also doesn't drain completely and has to be raised about 4" to completely drain.

300 down the dump that's about all I can say.
Extremely disappointed, from the very beginning we had issue with the hose not staying connected and the hose connection leaking. I tightened the clamp and then had use with the hose staying full and to dump in the tank. The elbow connector had a issues as well it wants to slip off while you're dumping. I tried to replace the man connection since it was leaking and that didn't work, have had the hardest time trying to find a replacement hose or connector to get it working again... NADA Needless to say I'm not happy with this purchase AT ALL

Terrible product
Purchased this product for the 4th of July holiday and it turned out to be a big disappointment. Filled up the tank for the first time to take and dump and the wheels literally fell off. Two of them. The wheels towards the back of the tank fell off the tank while taking to the dump station. Since I had no idea that they would fall off, it ended up dragging holes in the tank. The product is completely useless now. Don't waste money on a product that is garbage.

Nightmare piece of junk
I bought this 6 months ago. The first use, the door to the hose storage ripped off. Gorilla taped that back. The "bayonet" piece has been leaking, and the clips come off the waste valve very easily, and this week the bayonet piece ripped apart during the dump. Lovely mess.
Also huge design flaw with the intake and output being the same hole, below the poo level. Almost impossible to fill without a huge mess.
Am on hold with Thetford Customer service right now, but after reading the other reviews, am not holding out much hope. Complete piece of garbage.

Good design, very poor materials
I ordered then received in just a few days from Camping World. I opened the box and the cover for the discharge hose was broken off laying in the bottom of the box. It appears to have been shipped that way. The box was delivered by UPS and did not show signs of being handled badly. I called Camping World and their customer service was great. Offered to replace, but I asked if they could just ship me a new lid to replace the broken one. They said I would have to call Thetford. Their customer service not as good, after I sent pictures and documents in emails they finally agreed to send me another cover in 7 to 10 days and acted like it was a big deal. I am still waiting for the cover. There are two other covers that are also not long for this world. As I said, I really like the design so I will most likely add metal hinges to take care of their poor materials.

Thetford 27 Gallon Smart Tote 2 LX
You almost need three hands to negotiate the hose when putting back into the tote for transfer to the dump. Spillage is a real possibility until you become familiar with it. Once full, it is heavy but seemed to roll well. The handle did not stay attached to my truck hitch until I strapped it down with a ratchet strap. The body seems well built but with all the little doors there are just too many things to potentially break. The bayonet lugs on the elbow do not lock and work loose while using.

Waste Tank
Save your money and buy another brand. First to go was the door hinge that houses the hose, there is no hinge, just a thin plastic layer that will break off very quickly and no way to shut door after it's broken, hoses fall out. Next to go will be the wheels falling off and almost impossible to get two to repair. All these things went wrong within the first couple months of purchase. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!

How can I replace wheels , last time camping the front outside wheels came off. Not the whole wheel just the outside. How do I take them off?

Stopper valve came off inside tank,, down the drain
Is there a warranty or replacement part, on the stopper valve part we bought our tote last year and only after a few uses the Styrofoam and stopper came off and went down the drain?
