Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing results, not the answer for fouled up tank sensors I've never been impressed with any of these enzymatic products or mechanical tank rinsers to clean my black holding tank sensors, which have always read full or 2/3. I ordered Tank Blaster right before I ordered the SeeLevel II tank monitoring system. They arrived together. After installing the SeeLevel (a difficult task in my coach), I proceeded to use the Tank Blaster. Filling a holding tank when it's empty yet reading full can be a problem since you won't know when it's full. Fortunately, the SeeLevel helped with that. It's very accurate. I followed the instructions on the Tank Blaster package. I let it sit overnight and then drained and rinsed the holding tank. It went from reading 2/3 full before cleaning to 1/3 full. I can often get that kind of temporary improvement with just rinsing the tank. The SeeLevel monitor said it was empty again. The Tank Blaster package comes with 4 envelopes of chemicals, so I could do it 3 more times. The package says that it might not work the 1st time, that repeated treatments might be needed. And that may be the case. But that would mean draining the tank, filling it up to the top, adding the chemicals, waiting overnight, draining the tank the next day, rinsing it out again 4 times! That's a lot of hours to put in to only have those sensors foul up again in the near future...

    How Does It Work?

Does the RV need motion for product to clean?
    Asked by: Anonymous
One packet will treat up to 50 gallons, a holding tank larger than 50 gallons will require multiple packets.

One or more of the packets are torn open, then the granules inside are poured through an open toilet waste valve or down a sink drain.
Flush/rinse the granules in to the holding tank.
Then fill the holding tank(s) to capacity with fresh water.
Let solution sit overnight.
The next day drain and flush tanks.
Agitation/motion is not required for this product.
