Surprise!
This stuff worked for me after numerous applications of small amounts. Don't go overboard with1/4 of a bottle. In a water free bowl add 1/4 cup and let sit for as long as you can. If you need to use toilet, go ahead. After repeated small treatment I noticed it beginning to work. I left a 1/4 cup on the seal over the weekend and on Monday the bowl would hold water. This stuff worked an I'm totally satisfied in it's claims. Saved me pulling the closet and changing the gasket. I'm now using in my stored RV as well as my 5er.

Stop a Leaky Toilet so WATER stays in the BOWL
Leaky Toilet Seal? This stuff really works. Simply Flush Leaving little water in the Bowl. Add Product Open and Close The seal allowing it to get coated wait overnight and it will either slow or stop leaking altogether. Another application when Toilet won't be used for a day or two will stop most Leaky Toilet Seals.

Thetford Toilet Seal Lube - REVIEW
This product keeps your RV toilet ball seal flexible which
is needed for proper water retention in the bowl (does not
allow tank odors to enter the RV) and although I cannot
prove that it helps the black tank drain valve work, my
black tank valve has never had a problem with opening or
closing. Great stuff!

Thetford toilet seal lubricant
I'm agreeing with Mr. Nelson of SD. I've had the identical situation occur with my RV. I don't know how it works, but with only one treatment that leakage stopped.

Thetford Toilet Seal Lubricant
After cleaning my toilet seal numerous times and lubing it with Vasoline, I found this product! It seems to work very well, and has become a routine maintenance must for our RV.

It works really well!
This really works on my Thetford toilet’s seal. Whenever the seal gets “hard?” The valve lets water leak out of the bowl. This is the only toilet seal product I’ve found that works and works well.

Toilet seat
After using a complete bottle in the manner prescribed, as well as those suggested by other users, the problem still exists. I feel I have just flushed the product down the toilet.

Hello, I store RV's and one of my customers toilets water with evaporate and cause the seal to dry out after a long period of storing. Can we leave this in the bowl instead of the water for a long period of time while it is stored?
Most of Thetford's toilets use a Teflon covered rubber seal. This seal does not dry out. It would not hurt anything to put the lube in the bowl for storage. An employee at Thetford said they have noticed when theirs sets over the winter the RV antifreeze will evaporate and make things sticky.

How do you get it to stay in your toilet if the seal is causing no water to stay in there to begin with?
If your seal is causing leakage, you will need a new seal. If your toilet is also of Thetford brand, you can order a replacement seal kit here.

How many 24oz in a package?
what is the procedure of using water based silicone lubricant in the toilet?
1 Quantity of this seal lubricant equals 1 bottle. To receive more than 1 bottle in an order/package, the Quantity has to be increased. For a liquid seal lubricate like SKU#31207, the lubricant is poured directly into the bowl(with valve closed) in quantity stated on the bottle(1/4 for the 24 oz.). Then it is left to sit for an extended period(8 hours for SKU#31207) before flushing/using the toilet normally. The longer you can leave the lubricant in the bowl, generally, the better the results.
