Soft water :)
We would highly recommend this softener to anyone who is in area's where hard water is a problem, lots of Iron, calcium, ext. We have been using our water conditioner now for one year. We love it. Our normal camping area has so much iron that it would stain the RV sinks, shower, and toilet with in two weeks. Since using the water conditioner we have not had one stain or problem.
One fill of salt will last about 6 weeks with two people taking showers every day. System come with test strips. It was impressive how bad our water was and now how good it is.
We have also traveled with the water conditioner, it is easy to set up and take down.

It Does the job BUT.
Ive had mine for 4 months now and it really does make a big differance when you
shower. And I have a washer machine and a dish washer and it seems they both work
better since i installed it. Its very easy to install. The only bad thing is depends on how
much water you use but i hve been having to install salt every 3 weeks. That a pain
cause it is heavy and awkward when it is in the basement of trailer. And if your water
presure drops it will leak around the rubber gasket thats around the filler cap where
you put the salt.I would not recomend this to older retired people because how heavy it
is too lift out of the trailer. But it does work very well.

Great product!
I find myself in southeast New Mexico frequently where the water is off-the-scale hard. This little gem softens it right up! No more nasty calcium deposits, water spots or sticky showers. If you've never user a water softener before, it softens the water by processing it through salt, so the water is not too tasty for drinking or cooking, but it will make life a lot easier, and prolong the life of your water heater and plumbing. It needs to be back-flushed every couple of weeks and new rock salt added. If the salt is a real problem, potassium chloride crystals are available at a higher cost.....soft water without salt.

Everyone should have one!
I purchased this water softener for my husband as a Chirstmas present. We have a fifth wheel camper which we use during the summer months on a small lake. Unfortunately the water is extremely hard in the area, and it was virtually impossible to wash dishes and not end up with spots. You can only imagine what taking a shower was like.
It was easy to hook up, and has made our lifes much more comfortable. We had been looking for a softener at nearly every RV show we went to, but no one carried any. Finally someone suggested I try the Camping World Web site. Glad I did.

WONDERFUL!
I spend a LOT of time RVing in areas with hard to extremely hard
water. This has made my life so much easier. Showers are soapy
and leave no nasty spots in the shower, which I hate to clean. The
directions warn NOT to use "nuggets" so be sure to use regular salt
crystals or, if you can find any, ground potassium chloride. One word
of caution, if you're using salt, do NOT use a magnesium anode rod
in your water heater. I've found that it will react with the sodium left in
the water and result in hard, black flakes in the hot water that can be
aggravating but not damage anything. An aluminum anode rod will
cure this. Keep a bag of salt handy, and follow the directions, and you
will never be without one of these.

Water Softner
We have been full time for over 15 years. We have used this product
for about 10 of those years. Couldn't be happier with it. We use the
Morton pellets in the blue bag that you can find at Ralph's. About 10
days before you need to put more salt in. Works great in Ariz. or Calif.
Don't over tighten the plastic cap. Just needs to be just a little more
than finger tight so it doesn't seep around the cap. If you over tighten,
the cap will twist off and leave part of it in the hole. That was my fault in
the beginning.

Best investment I ever made
I purchased this softner in 2008, we take our 5th Wheel Trailer to the Colorado River for 4 months every summer. The water at the river is very hard, we used to get hard water build up around all of our faucets on our other travel trailer so I decided to get this softner with our new
5Th Wheel and it works awesome. Soft water would last about a week before I would have to regenerate but after flushing the system It went right back to very soft water. No more hard water build Up. Thank You

Great Product
Looked at many options including Callahan softeners. This product tops them all. It fits
in the compartment just perfect. No soap scum or filthy looking shower glass and the
sink area is even better looking with this softener. Regen is very simple and best of all,
the instructions are stamped on the unit. I used some quick connect for the hoses and
its a breez taking out to regen. We have this unit for several months now and we are
loving it.

Do I still need Water Filters when using this Water Softener?
Yes, a water softener will not remove impurities from the water. So a filter should be used first from the water source, and then the water softener.
