Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why aren't these original equipment? I replaced a broken vent lid on my 2015 Rockwood MiniLite with this one. A very ordinary hailstorm took out the other one. I hope I never find out if this one takes hail, but it's way stronger than the original one. I installed it in about 15 minutes after watching a YouTube video how-to. Be sure to note the placement of the little friction clip on the bar that raises and lowers the lid as you dismantle the old one. All you need are a couple of screwdrivers and a pair of pliers. My only question is why this isn't original equipment instead of the flimsy, brittle one that came on my new camper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Improvement This should be the standard vent lid on RV's. It's much stronger and more durable than the standard lids. You can actually step on it without fear of breaking it. It took about 10 minutes to install- fairly easy following the directions. The only drawback is that it doesn't allow as much light through as the standard lid, apparently a drawback of the much thicker material.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to install once YOU figure it out. This product was easy to install once I figured it out. The directions were not particularly clear. Once installed it worked great. Maybe I am a little slow, but folks should know that the screws you need to remove to get the old Vent lid off and the new one on are on the INSIDE of your RV. The directions don't tell you that. Believe me, dont try looking for them on the roof of your RV. Once you figure that out, it is clear sailing. Product fits perfectly and works great. I give 4 stars only because the directions are poor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from hail-proof I previously replaced 2 vent lids with impact resistant lids. last spring I replaced the bathroom vent lid with the Camco unbreakable lid. Last night we had a 20 - 30 minute hail storm with golf ball sized hail. I now need to replace both impact resistant lids which each had several holes and cracks, but the unbreakable Camco vent lid did not have a mark on it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warning - Venline 2008 While the description says it fits Ventline since 1994, the design of Ventline lids changed in 2008 and this unit does NOT fit Ventline since 2008. Camping World has a replacement lid for Ventline since 2008, but as of this writing, they do NOT have a Polycarbonate lid that fits the newer Ventline.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I replaced all 4 vent lids on our fifth wheel with these lids and they are great. My wife did not need her pillow for the vent in the bedroom to keep out the light anymore. They are easy to install, seem very durable, and much better than the original covers. I would recommend these covers to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product the Polycarbonate Vent Lid Needed to change out one of my vent lids and ordered the Unbreakable Poly Vent Lid that was advertised to be easy to install and of high quality. Both of which I found to be very true. Installation took less then 10 minutes an the strength of the vent lid is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vent lid is tough as nails. I think this cover will be my last install on this vent. I believe you could run over it with your car and it would not break. It is a little heavier but works just find. I also lubed the gears on the opener before I installed it. I recommend it highly.

How high above roof line do the vent lids stick up? Was going to replace my vent lids with mini vents, but I've got a tight spaces for the first. Fits with just lids, so didnt know height of lids vs. mini vents by Maxx air.

Asked by: Cruiser06
Generally the deciding factor for height is the vent assembly its self and how the lift system is designed. The MaxxFan Mini(SKU# 116727 & #116728) with lid down is 2.85" in height, while a common vent is about 5" in height when the lid is closed. When the lids are fully open the height is around 11" to 12" depending on the make and model of the vent. When it comes to the MaxxAir Deluxe Mini Vents, SKU#112657 & #112656, there is not a traditional lid so it stays a fixed height of 4". As a note, the MaxxAir Mini Vents are full vent assemblies(rooftop & interior components), not just a replacement covering. You will be replacing an existing vent completely to install #112657 / 112656.

will this fit the old style ventline hatch ?

I was told to specify "old style" ?
Asked by: marina
Yes, this lid has a hinge that should fit Ventline roof vents made before 2008. For Ventline vents made in 2008 or later use SKU#75286.

Asked by: Heidi
This lid is for a 14"x14" vent, we do not carry any for a 22"x22".
