Rated 5 out of 5 by from Try these before you spend a lot of money on stabilizers! Our 38-ft 5th wheel wobbled pretty badly even with the stabilizers down. I decided to try 2 of the Universal RV Stabilizers, and I am amazed at how well they work! I put one stabilizer under the rear bumper and one under the frame along one side, and almost 100% of the wobble is gone! FYI, the storage bags are very lightweight and get caught on the stabilizer's feet and tear easily. Also, one of the ratchets quit releasing the second time I used it. To overcome that I just lower the front of the trailer, which takes the weight off the stabilizer so I can remove it. Even with these minor issues the stabilizers are well worth the money since they work so well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy set up Have a 28 foot Four winds motor home. Bought two after reading the other reviews. Have only used one so far. Used it on the back bumper and wow what a difference! Haven't found where to place the second, it's hard to reach the frame at entry door. Maybe we only need the one. Be careful not to wind the strap too far in when putting it away, it will be very hard to get started. Found we need to make sure the feet are on solid ground, so don't pull too far back if there is an overhang. Would recommend these for any type of rv. On our old travel trailer we used the mounted jacks and expanding chocks between the wheels to great success.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW!!! I will never leave home with out it. Just completed my second camping trip in the new Wind Jammer 3001W. First one was so shaky I thought my wife was going to loose her mind. I saw these on the web site and bought two. After a little mix-up with Camping world and my order there excellent customer service came thru and in time for me to try these out. I follwed the instructions on the box and placed one under the rear bumber and one just forward of the right side tires. WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT MADE!!! WOW! Wife was happy and so was I. I do plan on buying one more for the front tounge area to make it even better. *** Great product *** Easy assembly *** Easy storage does not take up much room.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product I had my doubts about this product when I acquired it. However, the item does do it's job on my Jayco TT. I installed it under the rear frame(not the sewer hose container) and under the front part of the frame located behind the front steps. The area where they recommended the stabilizer be placed had a propane plug in for a gas grill that interferred with the stabilizer. The units worked great as an addition to using the trailer jacks. The trailer was rock solid. The only complaint that I have is the taughting strap, which needs a longer handle to apply the tensioning. My old hands just doesn't have a lot of strength any more. I would have rated it a 4 star if it had been easier to tighten.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good I have a 30ft Keystone Cougar. I only bought one not the recommended two. Simply because i was skeptical it would not work. Anyway, I set up my camper then I put the Valterra Universal Stablilizer under my back bumper. I choose the rear number because it seems thats where i needed to stabilize it the most. I proceeded in my camper tried to make the camper shake. I was amazed! It works like it says. Plus with a fully loaded camper with several people in it. I dont wake up anymore when someone walks around in the camper at night. What a great $50 investment. The cons are i wish they gave you a better ratchet strap. Also the aluminum seems to be very cheap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from easy up stabilizer been looking for sometime for anything that will help stop the rocking and these light- weight brackets definitely do the trick. My camper door is at the rear so putting the stabilizer under the rear bumper, no-more rocking and rolling. Definitely agree with some of the other reviews, get two, one for the rear and the other toward the front of the camper (I run the 2nd stabilizer lengthwise to stop the front to back movement.) With the adjustable legs and pivoting feet, level ground is not a requirement. On gravel, definitely put a block or pad under the stabilizer to minimize ground shift.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'll never again camp without them! We own a 21ft non-slide camper. We bought two. First time, we tried just one, under the back bumper. I was astounded how much more solid the camper felt. Next time we added the 2nd one under the steps. I'm still not sure how something so simple can be so effective. But our tiny camper with my 6'1" husband, 2 dogs and a teenage son rocked and rolled...alot. Not anymore. Not one slightest bit. Super easy to put in place, lightweight and compact. What more could you ask for? I get so excited when something works the way it's supposed to. You will not be disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bit in the butt again I admit it. I am a sucker for any device that claims to reduce motion in our travel trailer. By reduce motion I mean that we cannot feel each other walking through the trailer. I have to report that they got me again. We were parked on a concrete pad. I set up one of these at the rear bumper and the other to the frame in front. There was no discernable difference. The only positive I can report is these were not as expensive as some other failures.

do they work on grass and dirt or are they only good on blacktop?

Asked by: mike
This stabilizer can be used on firm surfaces. Pads or blocks should be used under the feet when placed on softer surfaces. On short clipped grass with firm packed dirt, you should be able to get this stabilizer to sit pretty even on the ground. On taller grass, you may have to use an object beneath each foot to provide a flat even surface for support.

Use for RV?

We see they work good for 5th wheels... how about a RV? They would need to be easy to install as we can't crawl underneath??? Would like to have something to keep this from moving when people are walking around and I am trying to sleep..:)
Asked by: Anonymous
This works great for us. We have a 21'er and I just stick it under the rear bumper and it works! The ratchet is simple to tighten and release. Makes for a good nights sleep, and no rocking from the wind or walking around. Wish I bought it 4 years ago when I first saw it.

if i buy this irem will also help leveling rv class c a little

Asked by: aland
No, the general rule of thumb is that a stabilizer cannot be used as a leveler, but a leveler can operate as a stabilizer. A stabilizer does not have the capacity to level. For instance, this particular stabilizer has a weight capacity of 250 lbs.
