Rated 4 out of 5 by from Moves lots of air, Easy Install I bought this to replace the stock fan with busted blades in the bathroom vent. It installed in less than 20minutes into a Ventline '03 model year vent. Installation was straight forward and simple. Only tools I needed where a long #2 phillips and a #1 phillips(to remove old fan motor). Product is well made and looks stock when complete. It is quieter than the old fan and moves ALOT of air, but is still rather loud. The multi speed forward and reverse feature is great, it will quickly push or pull the stale air and odors out. I would recommend this fan for a bathroom or overhead kitchen vent, but feel it may be too loud for a bedroom vent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice replacement. Replaced the lame tiny 12 volt factory unit. Unit installed fairly easy with the exception of the final fit. Holding it over your head and trying to tuck the wiring in is a bit of a challenge, so have a helper handy. Fan works as advertised with both in/out air flow. Seems a bit loud on high settings, but it also moves a lot of air. It had a bit of a wobble in the blades, but it does not seem to effect the operation. Be aware, it does block the light more than the factory units. I also purchased a Fantastic Fan for the bath room, it was a lot more expensive and did not have reverse. For the price, this is a great upgrade and allows you to reverse the airflow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Update of June 2, 2012 Review This is an update to the review I left on June 2, 2012. There doesn't appear to be a way for me to edit my original review. The switch went bad shortly after I installed this fan. Customer Service from the manufacturer was outstanding. The technician spent time on the phone walking me through the replacement procedure. They shipped me a new switch at no cost, not even shipping. Replacing the switch was easy and the fan has worked flawlessly since. This is an outstanding fan upgrade. I change my rating from 2 starts to 5 stars. Highly recommended!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth it Fan is wobbly and out of balance, come on! A 10" plastic fan and you cant build it true and even close to balanced? To mount this fan it takes two screws. But the screw holes are counter sunk 2" but the holes do not guide the screws so difficult to align the screws to go through housing 1/4" thicker flange would allow the screw to align. No provisions to run the wires through the housing. The top of the fan, control circuit board is exposed to the outside when the dome is up.I think I'm going to return it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice upgrade to stock fan Replaced OEM single speed bath fan. Overall took an hour to install, 30 minutes of which was spent trying to align holes & vent crank. Only after removing tabs on sides of Vortex fan assembly did all align. Once tabs were removed, installation was easy. Instructions were good, except they did NOT mention removing tabs. Did not find fan noise too loud. Much quieter than OEM fan.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Vortex II Fan Replaced existing bathroom fan with the Vortex II. Was easy to install, however, it is a little noisy. I was able to quiet it a bit by packing the sides with cardboard to help stabilize the fan and quiet it down some. Love this fan for the price and ease of installation. For now, it serves a purpose, moves quite a bit of air, and it has seemed to quiet it down considerably.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Add On My travel trailer came with 2 vents, one powered in the bathroom and one vent only in the rear salon area. The fan installed the same and I ran power from the closest light fixture. There are 4 double fixures on that circuit however converting them to LED bulbs kept the load to a minimum. Fan works very well but could be a little quieter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value Seems to move much more air than original bath fan with a little less noise. Very easy to install relative to some projects I've done on RV. Much less expensive than some other brands and models. Multiple speeds are nice feature. It is fairly quiet on low and still draws air out.
