Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall Grill Honestly it is the best gas grill you can get if your looking for something small and that gets the job done. I bought this grill for my family (family of 4) and it is the perfect size, doesn’t take up much space at home, can be easily stored, fits perfectly in our Nissan Rogue, it’s easy to carry and lightweight. My wife loves to cook in it. We use it for just about any sort of cooking and food. Grill sits at home connected to a 20 lb. propane tank and when we head out to the beach or lake we take 2 1lb. propane tank. Definitely recommend it to everyone that’s looking for a gas grill. This Weber grill is the best choice when it comes to gas grills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This little marvel is my new "Go To Grill" Bought a Q1200 last year in Mesa. Have had a series of grills over the years that have performed OK. Each had drawbacks and it seemed like grilling on these grills was one compromise after another. I think I've died and gone to grilling heaven since I got this wonderful grill. We bought it specifically to keep on our RV while traveling. But it is so fundamentally excellent it comes home with us and has replaced our Big Grill for everyday grilling. We grill about 200 days per year at least. What a workhorse. Love it. Just the right size for two or four folks. Great job Weber! You continue to exceed our expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weber is top of the line I owned the same full sized Weber LP Grill for 25+ years. It performed perfectly and Weber was always there for parts and support as needed. When I sold my house it went to the new owner. Now that I live full time in an RV it was time to downsize the grill. Based on how happy I was with the previous grill there was only one brand I wanted. The Q1200 is another example of quality and attention to detail. It has a lower BTU rating then I expected, but any concerns I had were quickly dispelled upon first use. This grill is used several times a week for two people and is exactly as advertized.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect grill for me! I've been using my Weber Q 1200 several times a week since I got it. It has been the best purchase ever for my grilling needs. I was hesitant to buy the grill at first because of the relatively small burner output (7500 btu) and the fact it is very small compared to the grills I have used in the past. I now consider those features to be big plusses! It sips propane, while providing lots of heat to get great char marks on steaks and chops. I can grill plenty of food for my wife and I with room left over for a guest if needed. I also like the small size as it makes it easy to pack up and take along for camping in my travel trailer. I only regret not buying this grill sooner!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Made to last! I can cook on a variety of grills and get good results. What I liked about the Weber is the heavy construction and the fact it came with a built in thermometer that makes it easier to get great results every time. This grill is worth a repair if something wears out. Love the grill. I do wish they didn’t coat the cooking grates with porcelain. Food sticks to that surface badly. Stainless or straight cast iron would make this grill even better. Still it’s worth the money for a grill that could easily last 20 years. Even following strict guidelines on how to cook on porcelain doesn’t keep food from sticking. The grates are why it doesn’t get 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Never buy the Go-Anywhere grill. They suck. I bought the Q because the Go Anywhere Weber grill was constantly blowing out. Took up to 40 - 45 minutes to cook two steaks because I had to constantly stand over this sorry excuse of a grill and re-light it. And the ignitor will never last more than one season, those are garbage too. But the Q hasn't blown out yet and has always ignited. Strange how one Weber product is such a disaster and the next level up is so much better quality-wise. Maybe because it's three to four times more expensive? Hmm.... Well, thanks for the Q I guess. Saving on my blood pressure, anger levels and timing the steaks with the potatoes since it doesn't blow out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy Grill for Trips and Smaller BBQ Meals The Grill does a great job barbequing meat & vegetables and is a perfect size for preparing meals for our family of four. It is also easy to bring along on car camping trips or weekend getaways. The only complaint we have is with the stand that we bought with the grill. When we need to move the grill and use the extending handle on the stand to lift the grill/stand and roll it on the wheels, the whole stand tends to try to flip over. It is easier to just take the Grill off the stand and move the two separately. If you have a table or raised area you plan to dedicate to placing the grill on while using it, I would recommend not buying the stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turtle Green Grill I bought a 'turtle green' Q1200 this summer to replace a Q1000 I have been using since 2005-it was time for the little Q1000 to retire like me! Our new Q1200 is working flawlessly so far. The new Q1200 has several improvements over our retired, senior Q1000: it has the handy folding shelves on each side and the electronic igniter works easily and quickly to start the grill. The small, compact size is just perfect for the wife and I for our frequent grilling efforts. Plus, both my wife and I love the looks of our little green turtle looking grill. If our new Q1200 lasts as long as our previous Weber, then we will be very, very happy.

Can you use 2 griddle pans so the whole surface is griddle?

Asked by: Anonymous
No, you can only use one(1) griddle plate. Two griddles will not fit side by side and the burner will flame out without appropriate air flow.

In addition to the hose to connect to a propane tank, like a 20-lb tank, is anything else needed, like a regulator?

Asked by: Richard
No, this portable grill has an onboard regulator designed to take 1# throw away bottles. A hose like Item# 30338 or item# 30342 is used to connect portable LP appliances like this grill to a large refillable bottle. Grill side of the hose is threaded like throw away bottles, the other end a Type 1 ACME nut for refillable tanks, and no regulator since the grill has an onboard model.

Can this be connecting to the tank in the RV?

Asked by: andy

How hot does it get underneath the BBQ? I have a folding camping table with a surface like cheap particle board that I want to set it on. Should I place something heat resistant on the table to set the BBQ on?
