This comes very much in handy for traveling when we have more stuff and electronics and not enough holding areas in the car.

My little Mini doesn't have many places to hold stuff, and it's cup holders are very small. This worked well for me. I wish the cu...p wells were just a little deeper, but they serve the purpose.

Wedgie Cup Holder

I bought mine years ago at a local auto store. I love it. I also did not like that the holders were not as sturdy at times but ... with the price; modification is easy. I have removed the bottom of the cup holder (piece by piece) to accommodate my most commonly used cup/coffee cup for ONE of the holders and a little sanding in the other accommodates most water/soda bottles from the stop and shops. It just has to hold the cup and sitting down deeper solves a lot of the issues. I then attached a piece of paneling (thinner) with two pieces of cardboard on each side (extends as needed and protects where wedged) and zip tied them in the holes provided. All things done can be adjusted for each vehicle and different new areas where they can be used. I also found recently at the auto store a plastic type holder for additional storage space i.e. note pads and pens, business cards and such and am thinking attaching it to the front of the cup holder for easy access.

You would wedge it between your seat and center console (or between seat cushions on a sofa). This item uses the pressure of the two items (seat and console) to hold itself up.
