Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite pocket knife ever! The first reviewer complained that the knife wasn't very sharp, but the one I got was pretty sharp out of the package, and a minute on the 1" belt sander with 1000 grit and a buff on the polishing grinder and it will cut copy paper effortlessly just by dragging it lightly across the top edge while holding it in the other hand by the corner. For a stainless steel blade, I'd call that awesome! Yes, it was hard to open right out of the package, but a little oil and opening and closing (which you can do with one hand and the thumb post after a dozen or so opening and closings), and it operates perfectly for me with one hand, including working the blade lock to close the knife with the thumb also. I don't find the lock hard to operate at all myself. The serations are great for tearing into difficult materials (rope, packaging bands, etc.) and I like the solid metal handle with wood inserts for style. The narrowing of the handle just before the joint makes it easy to grip securely. I see similar "high end" knives selling for five times the price of this one, and I can only wonder why anyone would pass this baby up.
