Rated 5 out of 5 by from Throughly Tested and Compared We live in Japan and shoot large Sika that regularly weigh over 400lbs. Gun laws restrict many hunters here to shotguns. There are no limits on deer harvest and the season is six months long. I regularly shoot 100+ deer a year and having the best ammo I can get is imperative. Accurate and fast are two different things and rarely found in the same box but Winchester somehow pulled it off. These sabots are the best on the market here by far. I bought a new Browning bolt action 12 gauge last year with 1/28 twist. I bought every different sabot I could find to find the round the gun liked. 3in Federal stuff advertised at 2000fps went 1800 in mug chronograph. 2 3/4 advertised at 1900 went 1700. Elevation is 100ft, literally on the coast. But the Winchester XP3 advertised at 2000 goes 1900 and is dead nuts accurate, My gun shoots right at 1 MOA, all the time, and after 160 rounds last year I have yet to experience a “flyer”. I have been able to take shots that I would never have before with this extreme accuracy and speed. The ballistics of this round are just amazing and easily put the 12 gauge into the same category as big carbines such as the 45-70 and 444 marlin. I take shots with just small windows that I definitely avoided before when the best combo I could get out of my 870 with 26 Hastings barrel used federal banes expanders. They open up very easy and penetration is terrible. Expansion with the XP3 is much better even though its going faster. Petals do break off at closer ranges but I feel they were designed to do so. Lethality of these rounds is shocking. I literally shoot many, many tons of deer each year and this is the only round I will use. There are many sabot hunters here and the XP3 has a great reputation even though it is somewhat new here. The XP3 shoots well in many guns that don’t like other ammo. It’s my opinion that these faster sabots work better in somewhat modern barrels that have faster twist rates such as 1/28, although older 1/36 barrels are not necessarily inaccurate. If your gun likes them do not hesitate, these things perform! In Japan thousands of deer die by this sabot every year. If guys are talking trash about this round it only show their incompetence. My 2019-2020 sabots were of lot number C6LJ17

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard hitting and accurate I live in a shotgun only area of NY. I first purchased Winchester Supreme Elite XP3 12ga four seasons ago. I had used other sabots with so so results. These are the best I have found. Three shots touching at 100 yards thru my Remington 11-87 with 21 inch rifled barrel and cantilever scope. I have shot a couple buck and doe and never had to track one. All were dead with in sight of the place they were shot. They are expensive, but worth it. After I sighted my gun in the first year, I only shoot three to confirm my zero a one per deer. I ordered six boxes on-line on a Friday and had them delivered to my local Gander for free. I got a call the following Tuesday to tell me they were in. Taking the boy out to sight his gun in so he'll be ready opening day. Check out the pics, both taken with Winchester XP3s, one shot one kill. The fresh kill was at 115 quartering away. The other at 40 yards.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Zeroed In Nicely Decided to try XP3 saboted slugs this year in my Mossberg 500. Went to the range and first tried a few other brands left over from previous years. The more expensive SSTs and Copper Solids flew all over at 50 yards.Pulled out the new XP3s and was able to quickly dial down the scope to all bullseyes. Very consistent. We'll see what they do to a deer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 for 2 So far Hard to find these around my area, I have 2 boxes, one is shy of two shells, and I have shot two deer. One at 25 yrds, other at 45 yrds. Both double lunged and dropped where they were standing. Love these shells, and the silver rim is easier to find if you drop one in the leaves
