Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can get PBS again! Replaced the stock Winegard I replaced the Winegard Sensar III that came stock with my KZ Sportsmen Classic travel trailer (why a 2012 trailer would come with a basic VHF only antenna, I don't know.) Just having to upgrade the head was nice and cheaper. Install was all of 5 minutes with a ladder. a pair of needle nose pliers to remove/install clips and a wrench to final tighten the coaxial cable. Camping in hilly southwestern New Hampshire. the Sensar III barely got signal, and then even after double boosting the signal, lost it completely. The Sensar IV is giving me all three HD PBS channels, just using the signal booster of the trailer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gotta have it !! I am from Minnesota and was having trouble getting reception wherever we would go. So before spending several hundred dollars on a satellite system, I spent the $60. for the sensar IV. When it came i pulled out the ladder and took off the moss covered, brittle 10 year old antenna, and in 5 mins the new one was on and ready. What a difference. I now get both digital and analog, from 10 to 20 channels depending on our location. So heres the deal, If your rig is more then 10 years old, and your antenna looks it, you can be sure the inside is just as bad. Get the whole Sensar IV antenna and not just the $20 digital add on like i did first. That one is on the old batwing sitting in my garage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PERFECT!!!! In 5 minutes - after climbing onto the roof of the camper which was the hardest part of this install - the old head was off and the new head was on. Perfect instructions; perfect reception; great price! I would recommend this to anybody who still has the old Winegard system as an upgrade for Digital TV reception. Did away with 2 extra digital to analog boxes. Very pleased with this purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than king My old Sensor 3 died, replaced it with a King. Got more channels than before except PBS. It still broadcast in the VHF spectrum. My guess is that the King works better than the Sensor 3 in the UHF spectrum, but has poorer reception in VHF. Exchanged King for a Sensor IV. Works great, gets all the stations that the King got PLUS PBS

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Review made it sound like a good replacement Purchased this for my 2003 Fleetwood motorhome to help the HD reception. Based on the review, I would not recommend it to anybody. Got worst reception than my old standard antenna. After installation, went from 5-7 stations at a local race track I go to down to just 3 PBS stations. Not worth the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Added service I replaced my Winegard antenna on my motorhome with the Sensar IV replacement. I could lock on to 7 channels only with the old setup, without moving the vehicle after replacing the head, I was able to lock on to 14 channels, better reception all the way around.

Can this be used for a home outside antenna pole mounted?

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, it is possible to use this antenna head for use at a residential home. However, this RV model unit is a 12V DC amplified head. Winegard also manufactures a whole line of residential intended antennas that use 120V AC power if amplified. Their list of products can be viewed here.

What are dimensions

I have a clearance problem with A/C unit when I add the UHF booster and was wondering if the complete head was any smaller? Need about an inch less off the uhf directional beam.
Asked by: Meterguru
The dimensions for this product are the same as a Sensar antenna that has the Wingman attached after the fact, 46.25" x 15.25". The Sensar IV head has the Wingman arm permanently attached as opposed to being a separate piece.
Maybe a different profiled antenna head can fulfill your needs like item# 104879 which can mount to Winegard's Sensar hardware, has dimensions of 2 1/4"H x 16"W x 12 1/2"D.
