Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the price! Our motor home came with a dome type automatic satellite antenna. It was a constant source of frustration. We recently bought the Winegard TRAV'LER DISH 1000 Multi-Satellite TV Antenna. What an outstanding product. Installation was simple. Quality is top notch. Now I simply push one button and within a couple of minutes I have a perfect satellite signal. No toggling, no fine tuning. To my surprise I’ve even gotten a strong satellite signal at campgrounds with trees that would have completely blocked our old dome antenna. This antenna is expensive but worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just like Dish at Home I have owned the Tailgater and other satellite units, but nothing like the Trav'ler 1000. This extremely easy to use When you arrive at your destination, all you do is push the power button. The satellite will automatically lock on the three satellites in about 3 to 5 minutes After it has locked on the satellites, you turn off the power and don't touch it again until you leave. You can attach 3 receivers and watch 3 different programs at once - regardless which satellite the programs are on. Just like watching Dish at home. Best investment I have made for my RV. I wish I had bought this initially.. Great investment. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the best for RV's I had a KLH stationary dome for many years, it finally gave out and i had to replace it. I did research and this seemed like the best choice, although more money than another dome to replace the old one I am so glad I got it, I added an HD receiver and can get TV in HD now too. Its great and this thing locks onto satellites flawlessly. It never waivers when changing channels. They are instant. It's awesome. I am better able to get all the local channels than before as well as when away from home. I had Camping World take off the old one and install this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny I recently purchased a Winegard Trav'ler Dish TV Antenna from Camping World and had it installed by them. The installation was professionally done and up and working properly. I also purchased a Dish receiver from Camping World and had it added to my home Dish Network account as an additional receiver. The reception is flawless and is just like sitting in my home as I receive the exact programing. The Antenna is a little pricy but if you want the best then it is worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wish I had done it sooner! I had a dome satellite that came with my coach and I was never happy with it. It had difficulty locking on the correct satellite and the picture wasn't always clear. I finally decided to replace it. After extensive research and talking to my dealer it was apparent that the clear choice was the Winegard. I had the Trav'ler installed and let me tell you It is awesome. It's just like being at home. Doesn't matter which satellite you're watching, the channel changes are immediate. Also, this dish allowed me to put another receiver on my outside TV, so now the kids can watch their shows and I can watch my ballgame or Nascar while sitting outside by the fire. This dish is well worth the money and an investment you won't regret. As my installer said Winegard hit a home run with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Product I had this unit installed by Camping World. It has operated flawlessly. Just turn on the antenna and it automatically finds all three satelites. My HD TV produces perfect HD at all times when the program is produced in HD. Other programs appear to be HD because they come in so clearly. This is the best investment I have ever made. It will cause me to keep my present trailer forever, just to keep the TV arrangement as it is with the Dish antenna.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Answer for HD Reception Great Product !!! Having tried a dome and adapter system this unt is far and away superior. A good stable HD signal requires a large reflector ! No rain fade , simple 1 button operation both up and down, works perfectly with Dish DVR. Everything the dome would NOT do ! Only negative is no in motion capability but the in motion dome would not recieve HD because of small reflector. Highest Rccomendation !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winegard TRAV'LER DISH 1000 What a great redesign by Winegard. This unit is a replacement for one of their domed RV dishes. No more weak signals or Sat not found. I'm even able to receive signal in areas where I couldn't before. My only complaint is the high price, but this is probably due to the fact that it is new on the market. Great investment over the dome, and now I can also view my HD channels. Highly recommend this unit!!

Will the Winegard TRAV'LER DISH 1000 Multi-Satellite TV Antenna work to all three tv's through the Key tv system that they are putting on the new Keystone fifth wheels? And would I need three wallys receivers at every tv? I have dish network  Thank you

Asked by: dave
The KeyTV system is supposed to be a simple way for a single RV source(satellite, cable, or over the air) to be distributed within the RV with minimal to no work on the owner's side for switching TV source. Unfortunately, I do not know enough of the specifics in regards to how the wiring is completed to make a comment on how a roof mounted satellite antenna taps in to the KeyTV system as to me it appears to be designed for portable antenna use. You will need to consult directly with Keystone or local authorized dealer for further assistance regarding their TV wiring with a roof mounted satellite antenna like the Trav'ler. If you wish to watch different programs on each TV simultaneously, yes you will need a Wally receiver at each TV. On the other hand, if you want to display the same program on multiple TVs at the same time. You will need to get an HDMI splitter so you can connect a single Wally to the splitter. Which would in turn be connect to the TVs. HDMI splitting will be separate from the KeyTV system as KeyTV is just coax runs. Linked below is a manufacturer video on how their KeyTV system works. I have the windgard auto positioning antenna for Directv. Can I buy a control box for the Dish network and just change out to the dish box with out change out the whole antenna?

Asked by: Anonymous
One of the biggest things you need to change when switching services is the LNB. A majority of the antenna is reused when converting from DirecTV to Dish Network. With Winegard's website under going an update, most of their support documents are missing. It is recommended that you contact the manufacturer to find out what parts are necessary to convert your Trav'ler antenna to Dish Network along with instructions. I have the dish hopper and would like to have an antenna installed on the roof of my 5th wheel. Could you advise me as to which antenna I could have installed.

Asked by: Anonymous
The Trav'ler Dish 1000 antenna is the only satellite antenna that is compatible with Hopper and Joey receivers from Dish Network. No other satellite antenna we carry, rooftop mounted or portable, is compatible with a Hopper or Joey receiver. According to Winegard, Hopper 1 & 2 installations also require nodes/hubs to be installed, while a Hopper 3 requires a Dish DPH42 switch.
