Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well This is a nice addition to our new travel trailer. We placed the receiver outside in the track of our awning and the base in the trailer and it worked perfect. We didn't want to get a window thermometer so we gave this a try. LOVE IT!!!

How far away can the sensing unit be placed from the thermometer?

In open air, the outdoor sensor has a transmission range of 300 ft. Range will reduce when there are objects in between the station and sensor.

Does the receiver operate on batteries or does it require an outlet?

The monitor station requires 2 'AA' batteries to operate and the included sensor is also powered by 2 'AA' batteries.

Do you need separate sensors for indoor and outdoor?

The monitor unit acts as a sensor for the indoor reading and includes one remote sensor for the outdoor reading.

I want to use this on a RV so wonder how the outdoor sensor is attached. Is it by adhesive or screwed on.?

The sensors (mfg part TX141) have a mounting screw hole for hanging. Instructions are included with the unit for proper positioning.

Is min and max get cleared every 24 hours

Does it stay until manually cleared

The Wireless Thermometer will show the daily minimum and maximum temperatures each day starting at midnight (12:00 AM). The temperature station automatically resets the min/max temperatures at midnight (12:00 AM).
